ours pitch black with great head and lacing. Roasty dark chocolate with sharp bitter finish. Bitter nut and some coffee. Thick consistency, average carbonation. Great muskiness in aroma. Awesome. Richness increases as this warms up. Tap at brewery.

Pours black with tan head. Aromas of sweet chocolate, coffee. Upfront taste is mocha then gives way to vanilla and finishes with just a bit of bitterness to balance. Palate is soft and creamy. This is a good beer.

500ml bottle. Very dark pour. Coffee and chocolate are more up front, but the vanilla slide in at the end. Overall, tasty stuff.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
black with a tan cream head, drops to a ring. Nose is heavy bean. Flavor soft and delicate. Maine is so good. The vanilla lingers but light porter anise rises mid, peppery and dry through the dark, rye-esque finish, roast throughout but always as accent, never dominating the silky mouthfeel.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice stout. Pours black with a thick pillowy brown head. Aroma of coffee. Tastes like chocolate up front and then finishes vanilla. Flavors are subdued but in a good way. They’re subtle. Medium body. Mouthfeel was pretty thin for a stout actually. I enjoyed this beer.
