COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our American-style stout aged on organic vanilla beans. Intense notes of coffee and dark chocolate lead way to subtle notes of natural vanilla. Flaked oats generate a silky mouthfeel.

pours dark (almost black) with moderately thick brown head. the aroma is mostly roast, coffee, and cocoa; these are also predominant in the taste, although some very nice vanilla flavor starts to come through at the end. overall, the vanilla is understated and the beer is fairly dry. medium body. very drinkable - a nice change of pace from some of the more extreme imperial stouts.

From bottle. Pumpernickel black in glass. Thin beige head. The aroma is chicory, charcoal, coffee grinds and some latent sweetness. Complex for style. Taste is punchy, bitter. Some chalky, cacao creeps in upon warming. Well executed.

From bomber. This one might get a 5 for appearance. Wonderful dark brown with a finger of tan head. Nice aroma of vanilla and stout. Taste is pretty good. Stout is mild, with the vanilla mild in kind. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black pour with no head. Aroma is full of chocolate and a little vanilla. Mouth is a little over-carbonated. Taste is full of dark chocolate, espresso and faint vanilla. Slightly medicinal.

Opaque dark chocolate brown beer with a medium foamy tan head. Nose of cocoa nibs, coffee, balsamic vinegar, and undertones of sweet vanilla. Flavor is much more pronounced than the aroma. It’s quite delicious with deep dark chocolate, bitter french roast coffee, roasted grain all with an underlying sweetness and hints of spice. This is then followed up by some lingering bitterness. Soft carbonation with a silky mouth feel, this is an excellent, smooth stout.

Bomber poured into pint glass. Dark brown with a perfect two finger tan head. The smell is dark chocolate with coffee like roast. Tastes good, chocolate coffee and the vanilla appears in the backbone. The oats create a smooth palate. Pretty tasty and enjoyable to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from my trip to Boston shared with friends at the Pig. Pours a thin dark brown with a very small tan head. Head gone fast and no real lacing. Nice aromas of vanilla beans, dark chocolate, slight coffee, and roasted nuts. The taste was a little less exciting than the aroma but as it warmed the notes of vanilla and chocolate came through nicely. Very thin body. Finish was sweet vanilla and chocolate. Good beer.
