COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first run at an American Pale Ale. Flavors and aromas of zesty citrus, passionfruit, and pine present themselves throughout. A very subtle malt sweetness for balance, but this is intended to finish dry.

Bottle... Hazy golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is a fruity, earthy combination of tropical and citrus fruits underscored by a cat piss component. Medium-bodied with tingly carbonation. Both the flavor and finish are sweet and fruity with a modest measure of lingering bitterness. Bottle courtesy of ctipping!

Wow, where to begin with this stunning achievement? The entire profile just speaks of utter freshness. The pour reveals a ruddy amber with a stout and luscious head floating on top. The nose is full of ripe, rich, and spicy hops. There is just enough malt to give it an appropriate backbone, but it never dominates-- like a baseline in a rock song. You don’t really know it is there, but without it, the presentation would be lacking. The finish is remarkably smooth and balanced. One of the best beers I have ever had.

16oz bottled November 16, 2012. Right at 3 months old.

Pours lightly hazy golden amber with a three finger foamy white head that leaves thick sheets of bubbly lacing and holds a great cap.

Aroma is grapefruit, lemon, very citrusy, floral hops, a hint dank and catty, some bready malt. Good to very good strength.

Flavor is grapefruit, lemon, again very citrusy, hint of pine, mild bready malt, great bitterness and minimal alcohol on the finish. Crisp and tasty.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a little oily and sticky, good to sharp carbonation.

Excellent Pale Ale, right up there with the big boys from Three Floyds that I’ve had. Even right at the brink of the best-by date, this is fantastic.

received in trade from phatdog1. My first Maine Beer Co. beer! Aromas pine, cat’s ass (or barnyard), grass? light orange pour with nice white head and long lacing. Taste was some tropical fruit (someone said mango) with little to no malt sweetness followed by drying hops. balaneced but you know the hops are there - not my favorite style and this is a high rating for me on an apa. Thanks Craig!!

Magnifique pale ale aux accents d’agrumes sucrés avec une amertume de pamplemousse rose. Buvabilité morbide.

On tap at Lord Hobo. Fresh, piney hops in the nose; some fruity notes as well. Crisp, clean, hoppy taste. Not biting or bitter at all. A damn fine APA.

Bottle at home. Pour is slightly hazy orange with a fluffy white head and great lacing. Big fruity aroma - pineapple, honey, grapefruit, oranges, somewhat piney and citrusy - very bright and inviting. Taste is zesty, piney, resiny, somewhat citrusy - straw and biscuit backbone - grassy and earthy with a medium bitter finish. Medium-to-light body with high carbonation. Very well-balanced; I wish I could get this stuff in quantity. Superb APA.

Citrus, pine, and spice in the aroma. Flavor starts a little sweet, with citrus and pine bitterness in the finish. Lots of flavor, but still pretty smooth. All in all a really good beer.

Yes, amazing pale ale. Definitely deserving of a 4.0, which I rarely give out. Smooth and drank w/ GT2.

Bottle. Pour is gold, big white head, good retention/lace. Aroma of pine/grapefruit/floral notes, cracker malt, light caramel. Taste is piney/citrus hops, cracker, soda bread. Palate is crisp, lively carbonation, a bit oily, bitter finish. Very nice.
