Our first run at an American Pale Ale. Flavors and aromas of zesty citrus, passionfruit, and pine present themselves throughout. A very subtle malt sweetness for balance, but this is intended to finish dry.

Poured from a bottle. Pours a light gold color, creamy head, moderately heavy lacing. Strong citrus aroma, bit of pine and mineral. Taste is a bit of malt sweetness and a moderately heavy dose of hop bitterness. Nice clean finish, medium length on the palate. Super drinkable and delicious.

Maine Beer Co does it all so well. I didnít rate this when I had it in a bottle, just donít get around to typing these things up anymore. But, after grabbing a keg, itís worth it. Pour is yellow full bodied and hazy unfiltered, huge head with pillowy rings lacing all the way down. Aroma of pineapples, citrus, floral. Flavor is rich citrus and tropical and resinous pine, finishing with a lightly sweet malt base, some biscuit flavors, hearty mouthfeel and nicely carbonated, just fantastic. The best pale ale Iíve ever had. Not even close, starts to present itself as an IPA, and a darned great one at that too.

$7.49 bottle from Whole Foods, CHO. Whatís a better medicine to fight a sore throat than beer? I suppose a stronger alcohol, but Iím not going there (today). Pours only slightly hazy golden with a large, frothy off-white head. I smelled it as soon as the cap was coming off - it wasnít even off when the aroma hit me. Yummy grapefruit, peach, light pineapple in the nose. Flavor is bittersweet grapefruit, clementine, pineapple, pine, and some toasted bread in the back end. Good stuff.

500ml 08.16.16 bottle, thanks Guillaume for buying. Aroma: fruit salad of oranges, peaches tropical fruits. App: clear golden, medium white head leaving beautiful lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, great mouthfeel. Some lichis in mouth, silky (in a good way), clean moderate bitter finish. Overall: well executed. This bottle is one month old, wonder how it would be even fresher. This is made on the "old" apa style, before NE style existed. Iím still surprise to see how much I like it since Iím now converted to that NE style. The aroma could be a bit more fruit-in-your-face or even have some pines in it to make it a bit more strong aroma-speaking. On the end the taste is fruity enough. Great mouthfeel. Pretty good.

Smells nice and fresh and citrusy. Pretty classic golden beer looks. Clean grapefruit flavor with pleasant light hoppiness. One of the better pale ales Iíve had recently.

16.9 oz. bottle, consumed on 9-15-16. ď083016Ē born on date, so itís just over two weeks old. Pours a mostly clear but slightly hazy bronze with a moderate amount of substantial, beige head. Produces good, extensive lacing. Pleasant, hoppy aroma features scents of orange and balsamic vinegar. Bitter, citric, mineral, herbal, dirt-like flavor. Thyme and lemon peel. Quite a nice pale ale. Dry, lightly bitter finish and aftertaste. Medium body. Seems substantial in the palate but nothing special. A notably good beer but not as outstanding as for what I was hoping from this very highly regarded brewery. Reads somewhere between a typical APA and IPA, although I do think it leans toward the former and is appropriately marketed and classified. A good beer but not a special one and nowhere near as good as the ratings here imply.

500ml bottle purchased at the beverage warehouse in Winooski, VT. Not a huge aroma, pours darker orange and less hazy than the top IPA/APAís. Citrus and pine notes with a lasting flavorful bitterness. Great American Pale Ale. Not Maine Beer Companyís best but very good nonetheless.

A minimalist white head but a stupendous grapefruit, pineapple, fruit rind and sweet malt nose. The taste is significantly more understated with a nice array of hop flavours - tropical fruit such as kiwi, peaches, and orange. Solid bready sweet malt backbone. Taste falls away pretty quickly, though.
