COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first run at an American Pale Ale. Flavors and aromas of zesty citrus, passionfruit, and pine present themselves throughout. A very subtle malt sweetness for balance, but this is intended to finish dry.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a slight head. Another good beer from Maine Beer Company. Great hop taste and aroma. Easy drinking pale.

again, a perfect beer. i have never had a pale ale as good as this one. amazingly floral nose with a magnificently white head. a bright light orange hue with a subtle haze. bottle conditioned to perfection. citrus hops hit your tongue and take it all the way back to finish. you would think you were drinking a high end ipa with this one. hands down my favorite beer from this brewery. quite possibly my favorite beer period.

On draft at Jakes on Main in Danville VA. Pours a clear gold with a shite head. Hoppy aroma. Grassy flavors with some malty biscuit and a hint if grapefruit. Pretty tasty.

Aroma is dank and earthy, taste is bitter up front followed by more dank and earth, heavy on hop flavor but not on bitterness. This is a fantastic beer.

On tap at Capone's in Norristown, PA. Was very surprised that this didn't impress like I thought it would. Seemed very average and lacked the complexity I've come to expect from Maine Beer. May re-rate after cracking open the bottle I bought.

A large white foam sits above a very pale golden and cloudy hue. Highly aromatic, very fruity Pale Ale with a cushiony pale malt base that is both very lean and feeling fullsome thanks to the healthy yeast presence. The bitterness is limited in terms of pure bitterness, but also in terms of hop character - the flavours being more toward volatile flowery and tropical fruitiness than harsher, more lingering resins. It makes for a hugely drinkable, that while boasting a relatively modest 6% ABV, feels even lighter. Cleansing, engaging carbonation is natural and festive. That brewery is one of if not the one Maine’s surest value. Somehow, even though I buy bottles in Vermont frequently and they seem to be steadily available there, I always get them in a satisfying freshness state for all their hop-forward character.

Tap at Plan B, Springfield, 19/05/13. Lightly hazed pale golden with a thin white head. Nose is hops, pine, citrus, bitter grapefruit, orange. Taste comprises orange pith, grass, good pine bite, hops, mineral notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the finish. Great stuff!!!

Bottle: consumed one month after bottling date. Long slow pour into my favorite chalice Yeilds a medium amber with a very healthy head. Nose of pine resin and light malts. Body is medium plus and abounds with hops. Mostly pine and tart grapefruit. Sweet rounded full body excites my tounge for more and more. Lingering spectacular aftertaste enrages me that I bought only one during my pre-lunch buying spree at half-time yesterday. A bit longer body would be fantastic in this critter! Another great beer from this brewery!

Tap: Poured a light hazy amber color ale with a small foamy head with good retention. Aroma consists of citrus notes with some floral hoppy notes also perceptible. Taste is also dominated by some citrus notes with some floral hoppy notes and some citrus notes with lightly sweet non-descript malt base. Body is about average with good carbonation. I really like the take on this one with nice floral aroma notes and limited bitterness.

Bottle acquired via trade with Thedrooid...Dan is a ROCK STAR! 14 karat pour with a small eggshell cap. Bright grapefruit pith, tart orange rind, lemon zest and Ponderosa pine. Earthy, dusty, dirty, peppery. Quite complex and incredibly delicious!
