On Draft @ Novare Res. Poured a hazy brown with a two finger tan head. I wasn’t sure about this because Im not a big fan of brown ales in general but considering it was a special brew for the occasion I ordered a glass... the fact that Maine Beer has a great hop quality reputation in their beers and the description said a "hoppy brown ale" made the decision a little easier. Rich aromas of sweet earthy malts destroyed by a nice crisp citrus overtone of fresh hops... WOW this was a very well balanced beer that had a ton of hoppy flavors; pine, citrus, grapefruit, fresh grass.... all dialed into a malty slightly sweet but well balanced backround. Kind of like a Brown IPA... rather than a Black IPA !
