3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
[Tap] Pours a golden color with a slight haze to it. Soapy head with nice lacing. Nose of spicy hops, lemongrass and pine needles. A crisp hoppiness is featured in the flavor. Citrus, spruce, floral hops, grass and peppercorns also come through. Nice balance. Dry finish is refreshing. Not cheap though!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Capital Ale House This APA poured a clear amber with a white head and very light lacing. The aroma was of pine and some lemon. This is mild pale ale but well balanced. It is an easy drinking pale ale for anytime. The light body ale had average carbonation. The finish was smooth with mild pine bitterness in the last swallow.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Crisp citrus hop aroma with a soft creamy note. Straw colored body with an amber tinge. A quarter inch pillow head that lingers a long time. Citrus hop bitter taste. Has a creamy quality that balances the bitter hop presence.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Ellyn’s in Glen Ellyn, IL., and dispensed to a tulip showing a clear & shimmering, golden hue, and fluffy, white foam that lowered it’s head just a bit to a frothy layer, with clingy, curtainy rings of lacing. The nose was perfumey & expressive esters as grapefruit, light tropical scent, pineapple, and lemon. The taste was fresh, juicy & citrusy, with just the right mellowing touch of malt & sweetness. Medium bodied, with lively carbonation, the hop bitterness was dry & lingering, with citrus rind, and a bit of earthiness. Finished clean & crisp. Would gladly choose over many IPAs for bold hop character with a quaffable nature.

3.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 Oz bottle. Clear pale with a rocky white head. Aroma has noteworthy grapefruit, pineapple and floral hops. Flavor is citrus and pineapple hop forward with only mild sweetness. Quickly transitions to herby and citrusy hops bitterness, lingering for quite some time and leaving a numb feeling on the tongue. Light body with a thin mouthfeel and sharp carbonation. Overall, not complex nor well-balanced, but does the hops it uses well.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Consumed 4 months after the date listed on the bottle, sadly. Hazy yellow with an inch of off-white frothy head that fades at a moderate rate. Aroma is (far away) evergreen, grapefruit, lemon, (up close) sweet grain, pineapple, slight candy strawberry. Body is watery, medium-light, semi-creamy carbonation, moderate burn. Flavor is grass, grain, hay, some herbs, forest. A small, electric bitterness arcs across the end of the flavor profile, just a hint of astringency. A nice session. Light feel and flavor is consistent with this intent. Surprised the aroma holds as well as it does after 4 months.
