COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American-style ale brewed one barrel at a time. The malt bill is built on American two-row malt and accented by crystal 10, Vienna, and white wheat malts. Magnum hops give the beer a nice clean bittering and Amarillo, Cascade, and Centennial hop varieties provide a pleasant floral and citrusy hop flavor. A healthy dose of additional Amarillo and Centennial are dry hopped to give this beer an inviting hop aroma. The beer is fermented with a neutral yeast strain and allowed to dry out so it finishes crisp and clean.

Note: Formerly known as Spring Peeper.

Bottle from hbmason...thanks Tim! Lightly hazy honey yellow with a thick off-white head. Not terribly pungent, with a light herbal and spicy hoppiness. Dry, with a lightly yeasty malt base. Taste is a bit astringent, mostly malty, with a nuttiness that shows its face on the finish. Hops are earthy and herbal with just a touch of spiciness. Bitter finish, though the whole thing is pretty smooth in the mouth.

Bomber from Half Time. Pours very light gold with a 3 finger creamy white head. Aroma is light pitted fruit and citrus. Med minus body. Flavor is floral and quite fruity. Light pitted fruits like nectarine. It is crisp and clean. Itís also finishing fruity bitter. Malt? Yeah, thereís arguably some lightly roasted malt backbone. But screw the backbone(tho it is necessary). This is ephemerally hoppy in a laid back East Coast style. Yum!

Poured a clear golden color from the botte. Aromas of some bread, pine, pepper, and some lemon zest. Flavors of light citrus, pine and a kiss of pepper. Enjoyable brew that would like to drink outside by the pool.

Deep golden color with a whitish head. Hoppy aroma. Crisp, hoppy, floral, slightly fruity and zesty flavor. Citrus, grass, pine, all subtle flavors within. Very full but definitely drinkable.

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Citric hoppy aroma, with light tropical fruits and some flowery notes. The flavor is pretty well balanced, with fruity citric and tropical sweetness, flowery notes, and light sweet caramel. Really drinkable. Good stuff.

Tap @ Pony Bar with Andy and Streets. Very light-colored and murky yellow pour. Aroma is a bit floral. Palate is light, with notes of fresh floral/pine hops. A bit of a yeasty, wheat sort of flavor that almost made this taste like a witbier. High carb. I thought this was very tasty.

On tap at Blind Tiger. Pours a clear blonde. Surprisingly dry with solid amount of pine. Fairly crisp and dry finish. Not many other flavors other than pine.

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2012 UPDATE: OK, so I tried this on tap and it was better. A very light bodied and reasonably hopped APA. It didnít have the funny -off-putting taste I got below. I didnít love it though. BTW: I was wrong about the date below, it was a "bottled on" date... I just got a crappy bottle. Poured from a 500ml bottle into a tulip. Bottle is labeled 032012 with a 33 next to it. Iím not sure if thatís a brewed on or expiration date. I assume the 33 is a batch number. Date is probably a best by date... youíll see why below. Pours with an inch of fluffy white head and no lacing except a thin layer on top. Really cool hazy brown, butterscotch color. Iíve never seen a beer of this color before, cool! Very minor aroma of bitter hops. Mouthfeel is light and crisp with some alcohol mouth numbing going on. A bit too much carbonation but itís not fatal. Taste is dirty and bitter. Iím guessing I got a bottle that just expired (drank on 3-30-12, ten days after the date). Some alcohol is present too. Not a great drinking experience. Iíll try to get a fresher bottle of this and re-rate, but for now, not great at all.
