An American-style ale brewed one barrel at a time. The malt bill is built on American two-row malt and accented by crystal 10, Vienna, and white wheat malts. Magnum hops give the beer a nice clean bittering and Amarillo, Cascade, and Centennial hop varieties provide a pleasant floral and citrusy hop flavor. A healthy dose of additional Amarillo and Centennial are dry hopped to give this beer an inviting hop aroma. The beer is fermented with a neutral yeast strain and allowed to dry out so it finishes crisp and clean.

Note: Formerly known as Spring Peeper.

Great stuff. Poured slow and still produced a massive head. Very light carbonation and mellow hop character make for a super sessionable brew. The aroma is pretty light on the nose but the minute you take a sip the flavor really blossoms. I’d love to try this on tap.

On draft, pale yellow, really nice floral hop presence without the bitterness. Quite an outstanding, well balanced beer. Maine is doing something right.

Bottle from Calgary. Cloudy gold with a massive Duvel-style head. The head falls, aroma has some mandarin, meyer lemon, a touch of dusty yeast. Sweet pale malts are quite attractive. While the bitterness is fairly low, the peachy-sweet citrus fruit is really nice. Good balance, fresh taste, finish shows a little dryness. A good benchmark.

Bottle. Hazy golden body with a pillowy white head, fully lasting. Aroma of toasted grain, citrus, lemon, herb, straw. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Starts with taste of citrus, peach, toasted grain, grass, all of which are fairly light. Then the bitterness kicks in. Lots of flavor. Nicely nuanced.

A very dry, crisp beer. Lots of lemony citrus up front with a refreshing amount of bitterness in the wash. Great in the heat.

Pours a nice light golden color with a hoppy scent. Very nice taste, not an overpowering IPA but you can taste the hops. Aftertaste is short, nothing (heavy or light) seems to linger too long after the sip. A good IPA ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a clear, light yellow with a lively, near white head, and a swirl of yeast if you are not careful. Aroma is pleasant. Bright citrus, pine, resin, and a hint of bread. Taste is balanced. Slightly floral with pine, resin, grapefruit, citrus, a hint of yeast, and a touch of hop spice at the end. Medium body and carbonation. Clean in the mouth with a bubbly carbonation and a dry finish. Overall a very tasty beer. Aroma is lighter than the flavour but that would be the only down side.

Bottle from Binny’s in Chicago.
Pours light straw-gold with a huge fluffy white head. Smells grassy and herbal. Some sweet cookie like flavours with a fairly crisp bitterness. Moderate carbonation. Very easy drinking. I think overall I preferred MO. 2014-08-01
