4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From a bottle shared by Sean of 2 Beer Guys. This orange-copper-amber hazy bodied ale possesses a frothy attached whitish head. The nose is a luring piny citrus Northwest hop variety with prevalent bready and biscuity undertones as well as noticeable nuttiness. Clean, balanced (for an IPA) with many favorable resinous hops complexities. This beer is an obvious winner.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Spicy citrus hop aroma. Appearance is a pale yellow with a white head with good retention. Flavor has a pleasant citrus character. Malt flavor is way in the background and has notes of crackers. Mouthfeel is medium with medium carbonation. Overall, it's a good IPA.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours golden with a thin soapy white head with just a little lacing. Aroma is of pine, tropical fruits, citrus, bready malts, sweet malts, and some grassy hops. Taste is tropical fruits, pine, citrus, bready malts, sweet malts, pils malts, grassy hops, and some biscuit malts. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, semi bitter, medium-long finish. Overall, a tasty, refreshing, and drinkable APA that is another hit from a great up and coming brewery.

To me it’s all about the aroma. Poured into an IPA glass from 1.9 pint bottle. i don’t know exactly what i am smelling, but, i believe it must be tropical fruit and pine. Have loved this for a while. Have to go to Gary’s in West Roxbury to get it.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Okay aromas of tropical fruits. The taste is watery and light tropical fruits. Good bitter aftertaste which fills the upper and front part of the mouth a weak moment. Good beer but too watery. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500 ml bottle from Premier Gourmet. Pours a cloudy golden colour with decent-sized, lasting white head. Aroma is floral hops with crisp grains, grass and light citrus. Citrus a little more apparent in the taste, with floral notes still prominent and solid grainy malt as well as a little grassiness. Average body. Nothing crazy but really drinkable.

Yes, fine brew. I do believe that if a craft brew is going to make an effective challenge on the lager/pilsener end of the spectrum, that price point is extremely important. Certainly this brew is far superior to the general adjunct lagers which dominate the beer sales landscape in the USofA, but at nearly $6 for less than two 12oz bottles of Bud total (and at a similar ABV) this is just a marketing gimmick, getting suckers to pay a premium for a small improvement. If craft beer cannot compete on price in this lighter end of the brewing scale, then making these fine but pricey brews will never catch on.
