Possibly my favorite beer that is rather widely available in Washington, D.C. and on the East coast. Very well-hopped, but balanced out by slight citrus/grassy notes and a tad of grain in the finish. The appearance is unmatched in my opinion with a head that can last seemingly for hours and a beautiful, murky, gold color as it is unfiltered. It looks the way a German helles/zwickel is meant to look, but is clearly an American ale due to the slightly heavier hops that you will find in this beer. Incredible stuff. If you ever see this on draft, it is a must.

12 oz draft at the Pizzeria Paradiso - Dupont Circle, Washington DC> The pour is a hazed orange golden with a smallish off white head. The aroma is a soft orange citrus, resin grass hop and fresh dry cracker malt. The taste is a really fresh, round orange fruit, along with the vibrant resin grassy hop, balanced with a light and crisp toasted grain malt. A bit of lemon citrus comes out as it warms. The palate is light bodied, soft natural carbonation and a very dry mineral finish. Tons of flavor in this one, really nice.

The peeper was an amazing pale ale. Sweet and hoppy and one of the most well balanced pale ales i have ever had. Alcohol was right and i’m glad the ABV wasn’t affected by the drying out. It was a unanimous winner of two nights of beer tastings. The peeper is a keeper.

500 ml bottle from consumers beverages in Niagara Falls NY. Beautiful bottle conditioned blonde ale. Looks perfect. Lean light malty nose with ample hopping. The flavour is the same. Finishes long lean and complex. Outstanding session ale.

Bottle, as pictured. Pours a nice clear golden yellow. Decent little hop flavor, a bit of spice. A bit more "Belgian" than I was expecting but not overpowering.

Bottle via SL... Nice light orange color, with a big rocky head. Little lacing left on the glass. Nose is orange peel, light lemon notes, light grapefruit, and flowers. Taste is wheaty, bitter flowers, light orange, lemon, spices and fruityness. Very clean and crisp. On the dry side, leaving you no after taste and wanting even more. Easy drinker.. Light body, good for a spring day. Overall: Stamp date is Oct 2012, this must be really good on tap of fresh. Maine beer company is making some great brewskis.
