An American-style ale brewed one barrel at a time. The malt bill is built on American two-row malt and accented by crystal 10, Vienna, and white wheat malts. Magnum hops give the beer a nice clean bittering and Amarillo, Cascade, and Centennial hop varieties provide a pleasant floral and citrusy hop flavor. A healthy dose of additional Amarillo and Centennial are dry hopped to give this beer an inviting hop aroma. The beer is fermented with a neutral yeast strain and allowed to dry out so it finishes crisp and clean.

Note: Formerly known as Spring Peeper.

Shared from a bottle donated to the cause by a good friend. Decent head fades quickly. Clear amber / banana yellow in the glass. Nose is sweet hoppy lemon. The hop follows for the first taste and surrenders nicely to a sweet piney tart grapefruit citrus. The finish is clean and pleasing. Yum.

Always a big fan of Maine Beer Company, I’m excited to peel back the cap on this beer tonight. The tilted bottle delivers a crystal clear delight, lemon-drop yellow and capped with a thick, frothy white head. The aroma lofting from the glass is light juniper berries on a subtle foundation of yeast; gently funky and promising to be a delicate kiss on my senses. - The first sip brings a stream of earthy juniper, fresh pear and light malts. Cool is the word I’d use to describe the feeling it brings to my tongue, my lips, the inside of my cheeks as I pull at the rim of the glass. Refreshing and delicate, the beer teases my olfactory senses and tempts my taste buds into tipping the glass over and over again. The second and last pour is cloudy, the more aggressive cascade obviously liberating the sediment at the bottom of the bottle. - The soft head is receding, leaving a trace of itself on the inside of the glass as I drink down. A threadbare blanket of foam remains to assist in transporting the light flavors, and succeeds in creating an aesthetically pleasing display as well. The head thickens easily again with a deft swirl of the glass, but lists quickly but gracefully back into the beer. - The light body is stunningly carbonated, perfect for the weight, the flavor, the taste. Peeper is tantalizing in subtle fashion; tempting softly without being obvious. The finish is clean, fairly dry and consistent with the first sip. The flavors are all nicely merged and an excellent finish to a hot summer day; or a long winter’s day with a blazing wood stove. I’d suggest this excellent brew to any first time beer drinker, or someone who would enjoy a mild transition from wine. Fabulous.

Just a great Pale Ale. It’s got a bit of grain taste from the malts, but the best part is the tons of fresh hop aroma. Maine Beer Company can basically do no wrong.

Clean, refreshing aromatics: grapefruit, lime zest, sourdough, wheat fields, light apricot, and grass. Crisp, effervescent mouthfeel with a medium-to-thin body. The taste is moderately bitter, with the flavors mostly mirroring the aroma for a dry, mildly grainy finish. Refreshing and easy to drink, but not very exciting.

Pours a sunny gentle straw hue with mild head, some gentle soapy lacing lines. Nose of candy lemon, white wine, grass, fresh green foliage. Flavors of soft candied lemon zest, flower petals, grass, green bell pepper, and pale malt. Super clean drinking. Overall very subtle and inoffensive, but some unique flavors and aromas make it fairly unique.
