COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American-style ale brewed one barrel at a time. The malt bill is built on American two-row malt and accented by crystal 10, Vienna, and white wheat malts. Magnum hops give the beer a nice clean bittering and Amarillo, Cascade, and Centennial hop varieties provide a pleasant floral and citrusy hop flavor. A healthy dose of additional Amarillo and Centennial are dry hopped to give this beer an inviting hop aroma. The beer is fermented with a neutral yeast strain and allowed to dry out so it finishes crisp and clean.

Note: Formerly known as Spring Peeper.

From a 50 cl bottle shared at home. Pours a hazy gold with a thick white head. Grassy hop aroma. Flavor of biscuit and some metallic notes. Refreshing, bitter finish.

Pours a light yellow with a large white bubbly head slow to dissipate, besides that looks like a pilsner. Smells of citrus hops but quite light and certainly doesn’t make an impression on the nose. Pretty light and citrus-y (lime, grapefruit) with a hop bite in it as well leaving a bitter aftertaste. Not overall very flavorful however but i’m sure good if you like light wheat’s. Like other Maine offerings has a very smooth mouth-feel even with some carbonation. Certainly a good session ale this will go down easy but not as impressive as their other efforts

Bottle - hazy gold with a pillowy, perfectly sustained head - looks great - nose is soft, semisweet crystal malt, with strong herbal notes, earthy wheat malt, a light mineral note, grass, dandelion - soft, frothy carbonation - the inclusion of wheat malt creates a lovely texture - light, clean sweetness at first, but dries out fast, allowing the spicy and earthy hops to shine - a light mineral bite accentuates the hop flavor and bitterness - some notes of wildflowers in the finish, which is dry and lightly peppery - simple, but very flavorful - exceptional all-around quality, but the price is far too high, even for something of this quality.

500ml bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a hazy gold color and a three-fingers high head, shaded just off white. There’s an appropriate level of froth to the head’s texture, and an incredible amount of lacing is left behind as it recedes. S: The hops here take a grassy, mildly citrusy tone here. After a while, this gradually shifts into a spicier note. Malty sweetness is evident yet non-intrusive. T: Piny, peppery bitterness opens the palate, while the close seems to introduce a very subtle touch of grapefruit juiciness to counteract the mild bitterness. The cracker-like maltiness stays even throughout, providing a good ballast to the pleasant hoppiness. There’s a nice level of finesse here, and even a modicum of depth. M: I certainly appreciate a crisp, light feel like this one has. The body is medium in thickness and quite firm, yet with a wonderful finishing dryness. Carbonation is medium. O: This is quite good, I must say - but I have to dock points here. Simply put, it’s priced like an import, without any significant standout qualities to justify it. $6/500ml is a hard sell for something not really far off from SNPA. The increased level of refinement and subtlety compared to its peers might make it a worthwhile purchase to some, though.

Possibly my favorite beer that is rather widely available in Washington, D.C. and on the East coast. Very well-hopped, but balanced out by slight citrus/grassy notes and a tad of grain in the finish. The appearance is unmatched in my opinion with a head that can last seemingly for hours and a beautiful, murky, gold color as it is unfiltered. It looks the way a German helles/zwickel is meant to look, but is clearly an American ale due to the slightly heavier hops that you will find in this beer. Incredible stuff. If you ever see this on draft, it is a must.

12 oz draft at the Pizzeria Paradiso - Dupont Circle, Washington DC> The pour is a hazed orange golden with a smallish off white head. The aroma is a soft orange citrus, resin grass hop and fresh dry cracker malt. The taste is a really fresh, round orange fruit, along with the vibrant resin grassy hop, balanced with a light and crisp toasted grain malt. A bit of lemon citrus comes out as it warms. The palate is light bodied, soft natural carbonation and a very dry mineral finish. Tons of flavor in this one, really nice.

Bottle brewed in April. Slight hazy yellow pour with large white head. Big citrus aromas. Great beer. Lots of citrus orange and hop flavor.
