Bottle: Same hop bill as "Another One", only with dark malts. Very deep brown pour, dark-ruby tinted edges. A cappuccino colored foam sits on top; long-lasting, clumpy, & thick. Heavy hop aroma, as expected; pine, citrus peel, wet grass, herbal spice, bitter orange rind. Only this time, there’s a nice background of dense cacao bean, chocolate malt, & moderate roast. Nice woodsy essence on the palate. Dry cocoa powder, charred nuttiness, roasted malt, pine, grapefruit rind, tangerine peel, & a strong, herbal & leafy hop twang. Hop abrasion & bitterness is mellowed by the darker malts, which also add a mild creaminess to the body. Aftertaste of wood, nuts, roast, & mild pine. Really, really solid black IPA.

From a bottle. Pours medium/dark brown with a frothy tan head. Tastes like coffee and barley, nutty, smooth. Creamy bitterness. Low/medium body and carbonation. Smells like creaminess, bitterness, and coffee.

Nice balance between a stout and IPA. The pour is black with a small tan head. The aroma is roasty goodness with some hops. The flavor starts roasty and then the hops keep in. The finish is light and dry.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2014 (En fût sur place) Rôtie, verte et poivrée, elle reste une belle expérience pour un style qui m’excite de moins en moins. (En bouteille) Très vert, jus de lime avec un corps vraiment douillet, superbe.

500ml brown bottle. Deep brown pour, large creamy brown cap on top and a lot of lacing. Aromas of piney hops and chocolate. Taste has chocolate malts, earth, coffee, pine. Aftertaste has grapefruit, pine and chocolate malt, and a bit of coffee late. Long bitter finish. Smooth mouthfeel. Highly enjoyable.

Huge piney danky hoppiness and chocolate back bone somehow work in this one without being too muddled. Roast and citrus are light and round it out well.

Pours a solid black color with a huge tan head that persists forever. Earthy hoppy aroma with a roasty chocolate some dark fruit and a hint of cardboard. The flavor is earthy and citrus hoppy with a fair amount of dark chocolate and roasted coffee. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick roasty gritty mouthfeel. Nice hoppy porter very tasty.

Bottle from Bier Cellar. Potent citrus and tropical hops aroma with chocolate fudge accents. Opaque black under a lacy, light brown foam cover. Potent hops flavour: cat pee, grapefruit, strawberry. Develops into sweet chocolate brownies in front of a medium bitterness. Medium body, clean finish, moderate carbonation.

Bottle. Pours out dark brown with a moderate tan head. Nose is of tropical/citrusy fruit hops, chocolate malt, light toast and some medium roast coffee. Taste is complex, some really nice oily citrus and fruity hops, mild semi sweet chocolate, light toasty flavors and a punchy bitterness in the finish. Complex, smooth and silky. Yum

Large tan head, rocky, lasting, gobyalers of lace. Black, opaque. Nose of pine and roast, hint of resin, green. Body is med/full, chewy, dry and grainy. Decent blend of hops and dark malts, maybe a hint of patent, roasty with a slithering hop juicyness to it, piney, citrusy.Dry, roasty finish with a tame bite. I,ll take Another One over Weez, though still nice.
