A much deeper and darker color than I expected. Aroma is hoppy as is the flavor, but its wonderfully balanced.

5 ounce sample at the Freeport tasting room. Delicious burnt caramel notes with a tasty hopfeel.

Bottle, which perhaps sat in the cellar a month too long (bottled 122312). Still, the most amazing red hue poured into a perfect pint glass. Big aroma of pineapple and citrus. So well balanced between the sweet malt and the hop bite. Bitterness slowly fades nicely at the finish. I’ve traded several of these, guess I should have spent more time drinking them! Well done, MBC!

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2013 16 oz bottle This is an amazing amber ale. The ale was purchased at Greenwood Market on Rt 250. The deep amber ale had a huge tan frothy head. The ale had lively carbonation for a medium body beer. Tthis was a wonderful experience with a citrusy aroma. The ale was full of flavor and just a pleasure to drink. The finish was smooth with just the perfect bitterness. Enjoying an ale like this is why you taste different beers.

Bottle. This is exactly why I love amber ale. The malty flavors that come through here are absolutely perfect.

Big thanks to Slovak for this bottle! Pours a dark reddish brown with a couple fingers of head. Boat loads of hops in the smell, lots of citrus notes, smells awesome. Lots of bitterness up front, followed by some sweetness a nice balanced pale ale.

Pours a deep amber with a two finger eggshell head. Aromas redolent of grapefruit, pine and biscuit. Nice smooth mouthfeel with good malt backbone to offset the hoppy bitterness. Nice dry finish. A great ale.

Bottle, as pictured. This is surprisingly hoppy, though I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised as the bottle indicates that it’s going to be hoppy. Dark with a little bit of sweetness and a bit of hop flavor. Not too bad at all.

Born on 02/26/13. Merci Patrick.
