COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dry Hopped Mead gets its name from the dominant citrus-like flavor and aroma imparted from the dry hopping process, which involves aging the mead with fresh whole leaf hops.

It is clear gold/ yellow in appearance. Cascade hops contribute its strong fruity aroma with hints of pine, grapefruit, and subtle floral notes. An enhanced mouth-feel results in a medium-full bodied wine that has a well balanced burst of fresh grapefruit flavor, subtle hint of honey and natural bitterness of the hops.

750mL Bottle. Thanks for sharing, Emeline. Aroma had a lot of beeswax, fresh generic honey, and the slightest hint of citrus. I appreciate the dry body to this, it didnít need the egregious sweetness of so many meads. But, I find the heavy wax presence detracting and I donít think itís got nearly enough Hop aroma or flavor to live up to the promise.

Tried this at the meadery. Pours a clear gold. Citrus right away, light hops with a soft grapefruit backbone. Bright citrus, sweet into the finish. Lemon and citrus, hints of citric acid. Very neat.

Sample at the Julios meadfest, wow this is really odd, I hate hopped meads I donít like these

750ml corked bottle. Pours a very light thin looking straw yellow. Slight green apple, big butter blast, touch of hop..but not much. Drinks slightly dry, oaky butter mostly, crisp white grape...but mostly butter with some floral perfumey notes. Dryness and the butter kills it for me.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2013 Buttery honey nose and some c hops. Pale yellow pour like chaedonay. Flavors of buttered popcorn honey and c hops. Smooth balanced buttered. Too bad for the butter.

My first mead, so this may not be as objective as it should be. Hoppy aroma, sweet honey smoky hop flavor. Better than expected based on small tastes of other mad. Like a honey pale ale. Nice.

Bottle. Clear pale yellow colir. Aromabof bitter stamens. Taste is bitter and dry straw and licorice. We took a vote and decided that dry hopping doesnít work for meads.

Decent-sized pour @ Meadhall in Cambridge. Most of the other meads were only available by the full bottle. :/ Glistening, clear, pale gold. The incredibly floral scent of dry hop just expands & fills my personal space. Smells like a bowl of strong citrus punch being served in a room full of sweet wildflowers. Tastes of white wine, melon, menthol, & pungent hops. Though the honey didnít seem to add much aside from a moderate boost in body, it was semi-sweet, not too waxy, & the end result was silky on the tongue. This bottle easily tops the short list of drab, dry-hopped meads that Iíve tried. :)

Clear, golden honey appearance. Nose is earthy, honey-laced grapefruit with a hint of mineral white grape. Pine hops, pitch and honey on the tongue. Body is fairly dry and smooth with alcohol building towards the finish. Overall, this is a well executed mead. Iím more of a fan of hops in the aroma than in the flavor, but still fun to drink.

750 ml bottle shared with my wife. Pours a pale gold with no head. This is a still mead. Pleasant aroma of honey with some light earthiness and some some citrus. The flavor is watery honey again with some mild earthiness followed by some citrusy hops. Some mild bitterness from the hops and a bit of dryness at the finish.

Aroma has honey, citrus, and a slight metallic tint. More of the same in the flavor, which has honey, citrus, and some flowery bitterness. Itís smoother and less sweet than a lot of meads, and has a beer-like bitterness in the finish. Nice.
