3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tried this at the meadery. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Big cinnamon, soft orange, lots of clove. Cinnamon, soft honey, sweet clove. Lovely amount of spices here, lingering and warm.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
375ml bottle picked up at the meadery. Pours a clear light gold colored body with no head. Aroma is really nice with sweet honey and a warming spice mix. Cinnamon sticks, orange peel, and a light clove note. The spices aren’t overpowering, but are well integrated with the honey. Flavor is similar with a bit more orange peel sticking out. Sweet honey up front with a touch of clove mixed in with the orange peels. Cinnamon comes out a bit more in the end as this finishes clean, lightly spiced, and pleasantly sweet with a bit of an orange peel bitterness and a slight alcohol warmth before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Light-medium, smooth body with no carbonation. Overall, a really enjoyable mead. Sweet, but not cloying while the spices provide a nice warmth to accompany the higher ABV. Big fan of this one.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
(375 ml from Bootleggers) Served lightly chilled. Pours clear light gold. Still. Nose of spice, honey sweetness and a large dose of Band-Aid/synthetic something. Mouthfeel smooth, light, only slightly sticky. Flavor of spice and the Band-Aid, which eventually dissipates. Mulled cider-like. Lots of ABV presence. Honey sweetness but spice predominates. Better as it warms, but before reaching room temp.
