Amazing nose (fresh garden scents with strong honey). Definite mint in the taste with the faint hint of citrus at the end. Strong notes of chamomile. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thanks to JLindros for sharing. Picked this up in Maine, poured into a Kate the Great tulip a crystal clear golden hue with a thin fizzy head that fades to a thin halo. Aromas of fake almost artificial tea notes, cloy honey, little herbal. Taste is super super fake mediocre tea, crackers, cloy honey, Really unpleasant tasting...thinking either this was a VERY old bottle or a bad batch, as what we had at the meadery was really good. Wow. Can’t stress how fake and cracker like this is.

500ml bottle shared by AirForceHops. Thanks, Chris! $12 price tag on the cap. Pours orange gold with a white head. Aroma is tea, lychee. Tastes like carbonated Arizona iced tea with a touch of honey and a hint of spearmint in the finish.

500 ml bottle purchased from the Beer Store Store, Nashua. Paid a tad bit too much but.... Whatever. Hay color with some head. Aroma is very similar to an ice tea. Herbal, tea leaves, lemongrass, and a mild "Long Island Iced Tea" mix drink aroma. Flavor is reminds me of a Long Island Iced tea mixed drink. The carbonation gives it a nice tingle across the tongue that resembles a "Twisted Tea" hard tea. Really rather drinkable.

A golden mead with a thin lacing white head, In aroma, smooth honey and roobois tea, light minty notes. In mouth, a touch of tartness from the honey with wild tea, corky notes, nice and smooth.

Tap. Pours crystal clear golden with a small fizzy white head that dissipates quickly with no lain. Aroma is honey, mint, slightly medicinal, cough drops. Flavor is also a bit medicinal, honey, tea, mint. Ricola, medicinal. Light plus sweet. Light body, light carbonation.

Draught at Three Penny Taproom, 3/15/14
Clear, pale golden mead with just a touch of carbonation visible.
Mint is quite apparent in the nose, as, of course, is the honey sweetness, though it’s quickly tempered by a black pepper-like spiciness, which must be the black tea. Soft vanilla and even touches of lactic acid waft over the nose. The honey seems fresh, very raw and as aromatic as I’ve smelled. I could smell the stuff while they were pouring it. No fusels or any other flaws and thank god not an adjunct bomb.
Shockingly good in the flavor. Not that I had any biases towards Maine Mead Works, just a little skeptical of a drink containing honey, black tea, lemon and mint, as those arent exactly subtle flavors and the potential for overdoing it seems very high.
Quite nicely, though, I’m proven wrong and this stuff is just phenomenal. I kept waiting for the honey to get syrupy on the finish, or the mint to overpower the rest, but it all is well balanced. The lemon seemed the lightest of all, and gave more flavor than it did acid, while the tea added a nice peppery dryness and the mint and honey seemed to be the main force of the flavor (the mint could probably be toned down a little bit more). Immediately noted it was a hydromel as well, as it was just way too drinkable (was unaware of the abv at the time). The lactic notes added a wild and additionally dry note that was exceptional (havent had that in a mead before, that I can recall). Will certainly be trying more from these guys.
