COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
My interpretation of a typical Bavarian wheat, refined with a little bit more hops and the intense aroma of our very own wheat beer yeast. Bold and surprising.
Typical but yet so different. Deep cassis notes mix with Oriental spices and create a fruity, spicy finish.

I invite you to enjoy a refreshing treat for all your senses.

Yours,
Jeff Maisel

Bottle. Vibrant amber beer with a strong head. The aroma is spiced and mulled, and the flavour has bitterness with malty and spiced elements. Overall a nice beer that seems quite Belgian in style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Carbonatazione sostenuta. Buon finale secco, burro che non dispiace.

750ml bottle. A: Bronze, clear, not much of a head or lacing. Looked fairly flat. S: Sour fruits, also detected some English style hops, farmyard funk and notes of clove. T: As expected the were strong hints of banana and clove, hints of sourness, orange, diacetyl and yeast. Finished with a hit of charcoal. M: Thick texture, coarse edge from the booze, deceptive level of carbonation. O: More hops and bitterness than the other Weizenbocks I’ve encountered, but it didn’t quite hold up against Schneider Weisse Aventinus and Weihenstephan Vitus, but those two happen to be among the best around.

Clear orange, minimal cream irange head. Caramel malts with a hint of honey and brown sugar, aromatic hops, red orange, pink grapefruit. Spicy taste, caramel malts with honey and aromatic hops, some banana aroma. An odd one.

Aroma: cloves, bananas, herbs, citrus and pine. Appearance: hazy amber gold color, nice white head. Taste: medium bitterness (citrus and pine), cloves, some banana notes, nice malty backbone, alcohol is well-covered. Palate: full body and medium carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Quite decent weizenbock.

My Bottom Line:
Lightly buttered toast and caramel meet citrus fruit and their mild acidity before sweet pear juice and oxidation take over this strange brew.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy amber.
-Peach marmelade is also found within. This is too sweet for what they are attempting.
-Cardboard notes get more and more bothersome.
-Effervescence and acidity help drinkability nonetheless.

Bottle.
