My interpretation of a traditional India Pale Ale, with a pleasant dose of bitterness and a fresh, fruity taste. Inspiring and exotic. Surprises with citrus notes and floral nuances and finishes with hints of wild honey and caramelized malt.

Join me on an exciting journey through the world of flavors.

750 ml bottle kindly shared by djoeye. Remaining pearl white head over a hazy, orange coloured body. Rich aroma of fresh apricot joined by mild caramel sweetness. Likewise, the taste is made up by brown malts mingled with fresh apricot and followed by a well-rounded, dry bitter ending. Soft in the mouth. Well bodied. Tasty and enjoying (session at Finns in Tromsø, 05.08.2014).

Decent IPA. It has nice hops and fruity bitterness, but it’s all a bit too modest. Tasty, but not exciting.

Bottled from Lekker Bier, BB 22.01.16, large sample, served in a shaker. Clear golden to orange color, big frothy off-white head. Aroma of grassy hop, bit grpaefruit and citrus, slight caramelly malt, slight orange. Medium bitter in taste, slight spicy bitterness from the hops, some caramel and toffee sweetness. Slight honey sweetness as well indeed. Doesnt finish as bitter. Leaves a slight alcoholic touch even. Medium carbonation, medium body. Different take on an IPA than with classical big hopforwardness, but more gentle traditional and classic. Decent stuff.

Flaske 750ml spandert av djoeye. Delt med ham og Rune på Nerstranda 5 Aug 14. Lys rødbrun. Lettskyet. Greit skum som flater ut. God aprikosaroma. Smaken balansert. Mye frukt. Litt tung. Svakt syrlig ettersmak.

Huge warm-white head. Somewhat hazy brown-orange body. Wide lacings. Aroma; lots of spices, ginger, vanilla, handful of nuts. Taste; lots of dark brown hops, roasted malts, fruit-bowl, many spices. Luxurious imperial super body. Finishes very fruity, apple, plum, peach. Tasty! Big bottle of luxury for ale-lovers who want the taste of ale, and this is meant to be shared. Lys oransje farge med et hvit skum. Aroma av blomst, frukt, karamell og hint av sitrus. Smaken følger aroma, litt lav bitterhet i avsluttningen.Kort ettersmak og medum fylde.

Bottle:red golden color, very stable, fine white head. Very fruity smell of grapefruit and black currant. Taste has same fruits and caramel. Bitterness comes in the end - a little bit too much, but still ok.

Aroma: Sweet American Hops (Jopen Barley wines) up in the aroma, caramel and grass Taste: Caramel,, grass, some alcohol and only light citrus and floral. notes in the finish. Medium body, average carbonation. No much of an IPA, Lacks serious hops and has to much caramelised mals, by far the worst in the series of Maisel & Friends
