Bottle. Sweet grainy malt and light grass aroma. Medium yellow color with large white head. Sweet grainy malt and mildly bitter flavor. Medium body. Not great but infinitely better than US lo-cal beers.

Bierkrug (1919) - Idar-Oberstein (In Iraq), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - NOV 2, 2010
500 ml bottle in Germany. Light pale lager like color. Foamy short lasting head. Aroma a weak normal Pils. Taste is not bad for a diet beer really, probably the best low-carb beer I ever had. Compare it to an MB Ultra and you will see what I mean. Still when compared to normal beers it is weak and lacks much of what other beers have. But the tase is good and palate as well.

mile (2100) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 18, 2011
Bottle. Light golden, small and fully diminishing head. Light malty and lightly sweetish aroma, light grassy hoppyness. Body is light, malty and dryish flavor, light grassy hoppyness. Finish is short, malty and dryish, light hoppyness. Light and quite un-interesting.

yngwie (10754) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 20, 2007
Bottle. Clear, a bit pale golden body with a white head on top. Lighlty grainy nose with some fruityness and hops. The same goes for the flavor, which has the added joy of a crisp bitterness. Medium body. Quite nice, bitter finish. A decent, crisp pilsner. (070804)

.5L bottle - Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a nice light golden yellow. Aromas of hops, grass, and maybe malt. Taste is crisp with a nice mellow hop flavor.

dortmunder (961) - Herdecke, GERMANY - OCT 14, 2005
Bottled. Pale golden colour. Not much of a head. Grainy, slightly hoppy nose. Grainy, bland taste with a medoum hoppy finish. A little sour. Not very good, but okay for a diät-beer, though nowhere near as good as Paulaner Diät, the epitome of diabetics´ beers.

Bov (8158) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - DEC 12, 2000
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2006 clear and bright golden colour under an ephemeral white head; the aroma is slightly herbal and oily; tart and sparkling, medium-bodied at best: finish is short and moderately bitter and dry

Clear golden body with a big beaded white head. Aroma doesn’t grab me much at all, sulphur pong hung around for a while with some soapy malty notes afterwards. Thin body, not big flavours, good carbonation, a little watery and mainly grainy notes. Germans make good beers - generally.
