Bottle. Hazy golden colour with a small, firm head that doesn’t last that long. Aroma has a bit of banana and vanilla with some fruity tones. Flavour is fresh, a bit sweet and not that longlasting. Nice refreshing beer.

Maria (9562) - Thisted, DENMARK - AUG 11, 2011
It’s unclear yellow-golden with a huge, creamy head, and the aroma has notes of yeast, banana, wheat and a little banana peel. The flavour is sweet with balanced yeasty notes, banana, wheat, and the finish is spicy. It’s well-balanced, but compared with Maisel Weisse Original, it’s not quite as nice – but truth be told, the difference is very minimal, when you have a glass of each.

Bottle 50cl, a cloudy yellow beer with medium creamy head. Nose is fruity. Aroma is very refreshing with a creamy body, nice malty, wheat presence with medium banana aroma, nice beer.

50cl bottle. Pours cloudy yellow-orange with steady bubbles and a very generous head. The nose has bananas, vanilla cream and maybe some toffee. The taste has banana, cream and a lemon curd note. The palate is medium to full bodied, big in texture and reasonably fresh on the finish. Overall, a pretty good example of this style.

Palme (2234) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 29, 2011
0.5l bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a really big fluffy lacing head. Nose is heavy banana, yeast, wheat and a slightly fruity character. Tastes mildly-sweet with banana and a stronger and stronger yeast-profile the longer down the bottle you get. Mildly carbonated and light-bodied. Quite nice but perhaps a bit to watery and thin to be great.

Murky golden color/ lasting beige sheen. Sharp spicy clove, tart wheat citrus, fresh baked banana bread aromas. smooth, light bodied mouthfeel. Very nice lightly sweet pale malt, fruity banana flavors with spicy clove, black pepper, and a light wheat tartness- very good hefe

500 ml bottle in Germany. Not really sure if this is something different than their normal Hefe or not but here is the rating. Has that classic German spicyness to it. Thick white head out of the bottle that reminds me of the merangue on top of a pie! Hangs around for a while too. Not as defined as other German Hefe’s. Not too bad at all.

Bottled@Monks Cafe Svea, Stockholm. Hazy orangeish pale brown colour with mediumsized white head. Aroma is wheat, yeast, some herbs and mild fruits. Flavour is wheat, fruits, some herbs as well as quite strong yeastyness. The yeastyness mellows out as the beer warms up a bit.
