Bottled@Monks Cafe Svea, Stockholm. Hazy orangeish pale brown colour with mediumsized white head. Aroma is wheat, yeast, some herbs and mild fruits. Flavour is wheat, fruits, some herbs as well as quite strong yeastyness. The yeastyness mellows out as the beer warms up a bit.

Nice orange color with a big white head. Sweet banana and orange dominates this thirst quenching brew. Small sourness in the end. Yeasty character of "bulldeg".Not the most complex Hefe, but a great thirst quencher.

A Mes rate. Keg at the Rake.
Thanks to Tom for pointing this out otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered. Very cloudy yellow brown with a thin, oily white head. Far too yeasty on the nose to let anything else really shine through. Similar flavour, all yeast and no trousers. Hints of plastic and chlorine with a faint metallic lager type note and some late smoky hints, I kid you not. Other than that a really standard weiss and nothing to get excited about.

Good white head over cloudy yellow beer with faint pistacchio shine. Banana, less cloves than the Bio, meatsatés, very estery. Dull banana, in fact, very dull, flavourless. Medium bodied, restrained slickness. The thing that worries me most, is that the "Bio-Weisse" version has WAY more flavour. What is this dull wheatconcoction meant to?

A kind of fruity, as a weisse, it is a very light beer

Bottle at Holbæk Bibliotek. Light hazy, golden amber with a large white head. Aroma moderate malty (banana) and yeasty. Flavor moderate sweet and acidic. Light body. Really fine. Thanks Carsten Bertelsen.

Bottled at Marcus-Bräu, Berlin. Cloudy pale amber, creamy head. Evident banana aroma. Sweet and soft with a wealth of cloves and spices, notes of orange. A well made, full flavoured weizen.

50cl bottle at Bur Fetten Cafe in Berlin on 10-1-07. Cloudy honey-amber with a dissipating cream head; looks good in a weizen glass. Nice sweet bananabread aroma. Similar to the weisse dunkel, but with more banana and carbonation. Not quite as good overall, but still tasty and full.

Yeah! Beer field trip in Köln. Flowery, full aroma. Looks typical, with a bit faded colours. Taste special, sweet, chocolate, full. Good.

DruncanVeasey (5150) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2007
UPDATED: MAY 24, 2008 Bottled. Deep apricot-orange haze. Sour, metallic, vinous nose with a hint of bubblegum, becoming maltier as it warms. Milky palate. Suberb head retention and lacework aplenty. Opens sourly, with some faintly banana-ish fruit, develops a parting bitterness worthy of a distinguished (malty) Pilsener, and sticks around with an aromatic gust of wheaty biscuit. WHAT an aftertaste. One of those beers you just don’t want to end, and it nearly doesn’t. A virtually faultless expression of the style. (Re-rate, 24/05/08- previously 8/5/8/5/16). Unjuicy toffe-apple aroma with a peppering of clove. Hysterically, dissolving-aspirin spritzy. Malty, yeasty and a touch metallic in the mouth with gentle peppery spice, slight dryness, grain, watery banana. Tasty, but unworthy of 3rd position in my ratings, and not the world-beating weiss I once thought.
