Bottle split at Bamberger Weissbierhaus during the Bamberg Jolly. Pours cloudy gold with a foamy, white head. Light wheat character, dry wheat, banana chips. Light bodied with average carbonation and creamy texture. Lightly drying to finish, with further dry and lightly sweet, crispy wheat. Good stuff, if a bit basic.

Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass modest zippy, small head. Starts mild, but not washy, modest yeasty, some fruity hints of apricot. Well balanced finish. Quite drinkable. Tastes like a mild weizen, but not like a light one. Good.

BOTTLE 50 CL. Look: cloudy amber, big off-white head. Aroma: tart wheat character, very little fruit, some cloves. Taste: quite dry even for a weizen, minimal sweetness, wheat character, medium body - does not feel thin.

This light wheat has the color of heather honey, and just as hazy. The head is nice and the aroma and flavour are fruity with notes of wheat and banana. Itís like someone added a little water to the Original, so itís not bad, actually itís quite good considering the low alcohol. I keep it in store for days where a light beer is just right...
