3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
0.33L bottle poured into a Weizen glass
Appearance: Off brown, deep golden orange with slight haziness. Pours with a two finger head that retains quite well.
Aroma: Started off with a earthy yeasty dominant aroma with slight metallic smell. Swirling and subsequent whiffs reveals a pleasant but subtle banana and vanilla notes. Banana aroma is must subtler compared to other weizens.
Taste: Taste is predominated by yeast and breadiness with only very slight hints of banana fruitiness to balance it out. As such the overall taste is quite dry and has restrained esters profile. Bitterness is low to almost non existent. It finishes off with subtle banana and slight clove like spiciness. The finish slowly develops into a buttery bready and nutty flavor.
Palate: Light mouth feel with a slight watery texture. Medium and lively carbonation that isn’t overpowering.
Overall : A very well balanced weizen that does not accentuate any certain aspects. Easygoing and unpretentious and no doubt quite refreshing it has something very classic about it. Though it would be better off with more fruitiness and tartness to balance off the breadiness.

Farven er orange gul med et sprudlende skum (som det sig hør og bør). Dufter af bananer og gær og smager af samme men også af koriander. Absolut anbefalelsesværdig.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The beer pours a white colored foam, which is quite rough. Almost all the foam disappears like snow in the summer. The beer itself has a orange yellow color, or amber color of you want. The beer is clear like a pilsener, not as cloudy as most weizeners. I wonder if it’s filtered. The smell is divine. It is a typical weizener smell. There are very fruity aroma’s, of lemon zest, citrus, coriander, and a little hop. There is also a tiny nutty aroma. Don’t forget the aroma of bananas. The smell is perfectly weizener, but just very good. The taste is just as good as the smell. There is the same citrus, zest, coriander and banana. And the nutty hint. The beer has a delicious sweet taste. The sweetness doesn’t has the overhand though. The beer is balanced well. The beer has a phenomenal palate. The alcohol and bubbles tingle, but the taste makes the beer soft. A very good beer. I’m glad I’ve bought it.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Bamberger Weissbierhaus during the Bamberg Jolly. Pours cloudy, rich gold with a frothy, white head. Classic stuff. Rich ripe banana character, yeasty wheat bread, light clove. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish, with hefty wheat bread, further rich banana. Good stuff.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I’m afraid that bottle I had in the restaurant wasn’t super fresh. The beer didn’t have much of typical hefeweizen notes. I was hoping for explosion of bananas and gloves, didn’t get that. It was ok, just ok.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy orange-gold color with a frothy white head. Moderate carbonation. The traditional Weizen aroma draws you in and each sips leaves you wanting more. Hints of fruitiness, but this is not a sweet beer. A well balanced representative of its class.
