Traditional weissbier made according to the old Bavarian style with the unmistakable character of the fine cellar yeast.

Very smooth, but full body. Sweet. Great wheat flavor with no faux-citrus flavor. Some fruit, but not dominant. Some good spices, but subtle, more in the background. Creamy texture. Very pleasing brew.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy yellowish brown with a small white head and an aroma of banana and yeast. The flavor is watery, with a soft mouthfeel. Otherwise the flavor is like a typical hefeweizen, banana, yeast and coriander, but the taste is less powerfull. I do like this, but not as much as weihenstephaner.

Bottle. Pours a light cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is a little on the yeasty side. Tastes of wheat, bitter fruit, dry spice, some hop. Palate is mostly bitter with a clean finish.

Bottled, 500ml. Amber to gold with white head, clear. Predominance of spicy notes right from the start with clove being quite dominant, there is a fruitier background with banana to the fore and touches of butterscotch, but overall the spice tends to mask the other flavours. I found this to be a bit too strident for my liking, but overall not too bad.

The aroma is weak and watery with some wheat and cloves but not much in the way of banana. The appearance is amber with a hug head. The flavor is like the aroma and not much like a wheat beer. The palate is thin. This one fits the average beer category mainly because it does not fit the style. Reminds me of a home brew.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2008 Hazy as German mountain dew the beer pours into the glass; and at once the aroma sizzles with banana, orange, pear, pinneapple, elder, honey and spice. Amazing! The flavour is sweet and soothes ones thirst . The biggest temptation seems to be not to drink it at a draught. To fullfil the portrait of a perfect Hefewizen the palate stands out with its sparkling carbonation and creamy texture.

Bottle. Huge creamy white lasting head. Excellent lacing. Cloudy orange body. Nice appearance. Heavy malty aroma; grain and nutty. Hoppy citrus aroma. Meduim body with a oily texture and a lively carbonation. The flavor is moderate sweet, light acidic and light bitter. A good well balanced beer, fruity and fresh.

A beautiful golden orange with a nice head. Citrus and wheat beautifully balanced. Sublime.

Hazy pale golden pour with big foamy head. As described, flavor does have some distinct unique flavor of vanilla in the background, as well as the typical wheat flavor. Nice.
