Excellent hefe, although not quite as good as Weihenstephaner. Light, fruity aroma. Runs toward a nutty or grainy flavor. Only slight clove flavor. A bit more effervescence than necessary. Leaves a tangy aftertaste.

Hazy, orange body, what seems to be thick at the first sight...Delicious creamy-foamy off-white head what diffuses a classic and fine aroma of hefeweiss-style. Fine fruity banana and lemon in the nose, some buttery malt with spicies like cinnamon and clove. Smooth mouthfeel with a rich body of malt, some toasty caramel, fine fruity character of banana and a light lemon, mild lactic acid. Fine spicy tastes in the well balanced body. Pleasant, i will search this beer for taste it again...

A great example of a hefe. This is actually one on the more enjoyable examples I have had. very crisp and very refreshing. A great summertime brew.

Looks good, a nice cloudy Hefe, large tight head. Fairly typical hefe aroma, wheaty, some banana. Beautiful full creamy palate, I can barely feel the difference between ther creamy head and the liquid it’s such a beautifully soft texture. Lovely soft mellow taste, it’s like vanilla ice cream. Hint of banana too. Finish even has some lovely herbal-to-pungent hops. Good stuff.
Rerate of: 500ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam) - 1 month past BB. Scrapping this rating entirely, not fair to the brewer.

Slightly hazy, pale golden appearance with fluffy white head. Moderate aroma of spices with citrus. Sweet buttery malts, with moderate vanilla and fruity hints in the flavor. Very smooth mouthfeel with light to medium body and decent carbonation. Slightly salty, dry clove finish. A standard german wheat.

Bottle from Sam’s. Maybe my palate was funked up by the Abbaye des Rocs Grand Cru I had before it, but I thought this was odd, distinctive for the style, and quite good. Slightly hazy deep orange pour with white head of big bubbles. Sweet and wheaty. Biscuit notes. The typical banana/clove/yeast were comparatively mild. As much apple as banana. A bit earthy and sweet. Slightly Belgian notes, but perhaps it was the Grand Cru lingering on my palate.

Bottle at Bedford-Bamberg Spring Fest ’09. Slightly hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma is cloves and wheaty biscuit, full and rather lovely. Clove and yeast in the taste with all sorts of spicey overtones. This was pretty good.
