3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BrotherGrendel (777) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 9, 2010
Draft at Obriens. Clear golden hue with a sustaining layer of white foam. Nose is subtle- rich malts on top of Belgian candi. Flavor also is sweet and Belgiany, very light fruits esters and low noble hop bitterness lurk underneath, finishes sweet. Full body, low-medium carbonation, thick and chewy texture. A solid BGS, but nothing stands out here, the low carbonation that worked so well for the M12 falls a bit flat here.

Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Pours a hazy medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty, hoppy, yeasty. Flavor is moderately sweet, highly alcoholic, citrus.

This is a malt monster. Riding in on top of the malt elephant is the aroma of honey and sour fruit. the midpalate has a little bit of (citrus?) tang and then a huge herbal hoppy finish kicks in. the finish has a lingering, mouth-watering hops bitterness and a definite acidic hit in the stomach. All in all, not a subtle effect in the bunch but everything is in keeping with the 10% alcohol.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 WesKBob (541) - Bethany, Oklahoma, USA - MAR 16, 2010
Pours a hazy golden orange. Thick white head with decent retention and lacing. Aroma is roste petals and peach. Flavor is honey and bitter orange peel. Mild alcohol burn in the finish, but smooth for a 10% ABV. Very nice beer.

Bottle. Cloudy yellowish orange pour, large creamy head.
Aroma of yeast, sour fruit (citrus mostly), spices, some malt and floral hops.
Sweet flavour of fruit, then bitter, then yeasty, then some more bitterness with some spices. Alcohol is quite well hidden in the mouth, only the stomach reveals the 10%. Very nice.

From tap @ Poatersgat, 25 cl. Blonde beer with a beautiful white head. Aroma is malty, with some lemon and spices and hoppy. Taste is malty, caramel-like and light sweet on the background. Some hops are also included. Good beer!
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Allen (2393) - SWITZERLAND - MAR 2, 2010
Bottled 33cl. Ordered from www.bierzwerg.de. I like the label: reminiscent of power rangers or transformers or this kind of thing which I associate with strength, competence and reliability, but then on the other hand indicating a disaster- a strange, maybe ironical and intriguing statement. Very tall head. Hazy golden. Poor head retention. Flawless tripel-like nose. Bready, wonderful fruity (you name it!).... Fantastic drinkability. Great hop profile. Another masterpiece from Malheur.
