3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Gary (1013) - London and Rochester, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 23, 2010
This beer resembles Duvel in looks, so its an attractive beer. The aroma is zesty or some shit. Aromatics ..perfume..honey and floral hops. The beer tastes good. I like strong, refreshing golden ales, no actually I love them, ive always got some Duvel to swill. Malheur 10 is sweet and spicy up front. Peppery alcoholic kisses under that...and subtle caramel malty sweetness over there. Like Duvel there its yeast character is stricking ,apple and banana ester are abundant here. Honey and hay stacks. I like this robust golden beer ,but how many times have I mentioned Duvel here ?. End of story.

Sampled at the 2010 Crescent Moon Extreme Beer Festival. Pours bright yellow with a slight chill haze. Medium white head. Big honey aroma. Floral fragrance. A flowery treat. It seems mild in flavor but has a huge fizzy burn going down. This beer is lethal.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Vaiz (1847) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - FEB 6, 2010
Bottle at home. Pours a hazy golden color with an extremely thick, rocky and creamy white head. Impossible to drink within 10 minutes after pouring without stuffing the head in my nose. Aroma is spicy, fruity, somewhat alcoholic and some malts are present. Intense fruity flavor with spices, yeast and coriander. Some bitterness and a little sweetness. Well balanced and the alcohol is well hidden in the taste. Great creamy texture and extremely well carbonated. Very nice Belgian Ale.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 drjay44 (1613) - Salida, Colorado, USA - FEB 5, 2010
750 ml. bottle. Pours a large tiny bubbled medium lived white head, with attractive lacing, over a slightly hazy yellow gold (SRM 5-6) body....nose is pear, apple, banana, clove....taste is medium sweet to start, then complex flavors of fruit (apple, pear, pineapple) come in finishing with a light hop bitterness, sweetness lingers through.....mouth feel is light, the high carbonation dances on the tongue. This is a nice example of a Golden Belgian Ale. Almost Triple like in its complex aromas and flavors, but dodges it with a lack of heavy phenolic addition. This is a good beer. The empty glass is loaded with honey aromas. BJCP 8/3/13/4/8
