This bottle is pretty old - BBD 12.07.08. The aroma has mellow considerably with faint citrus and hollowed out malts and lingering cleaning products - not in an awful way but there is something to this comment. Taste wise this is really good - mild fruits and citrus, very smooth spices. Really easy to drink, still no hint of the 10% anywhere, needed a fork to eat the brick of sediment in my glass. This has improved impressively with a very large amount of cellaring. I’ve got more of the same age! Whooo hooo! Original rating: 5374 12= 3.1

Typical slightly hazy dull yellish amber beer, clean bright white cap with a thin but total coverage for retention and some spotty lacing. There is an insane amount of sediment that came out of this bottle. Smells faintly like lemon scented bathroom cleaner on the initial smell. Some light malt paves that over now that it is warmer. It does smell too sweet though with an airy, strange citrus to it, some yeast. That’s about it. It appears that aroma was left out of the recipie. 10% Where is that 10% alcohol taste? Amazingly there is none. This might be the best job of hiding 10% in the taste that I’ve had. A bit over sweet citrus, ok yeast, solid malts, mild spice, the usual hard bitterness but it’s strength is diminished. Too much citrus. Well balanced. Creamy and very very smooth, foamy in the mouth. Cool, I like. Somewhat of a dry finish with a touch of spice. Man, I drank this waaay to fast - seems to happen with beers that lack interest.

Reviewed 6/1/2009 (bottle BB end B88 B89, some gunk under cork, on the mouth, cleaned off): Pours a golden yellow colored body, some cloudiness. Huge white frothy head, diminishing, with good lacing. Light, floral, sweet aroma. Fruity like pears and apple juice. Some maltiness too. Dry sweet taste. Not overly strong, but some good flavor. Some light maltiness. Sweet fruity and floral taste. Some sharp bite, maybe the alcohol. Hides the 10% very well, though. Strong carbonation. Some spiciness, and a little alcohol as it warms more in the aftertaste.

Drank from 11.2 oz bottle in Brussels. Very strong odor and flavor. I’d drink this beer again.

Bottled(330ml). -Murky orange/golden coloured, medium sized white head, spicy light alcoholic nose. Malty, pleasant nutty and spicy taste with notes of coriander and yeast. Alcohol is well hidden. Some sediment at the bottom. Very good beer.

Bottle at the Belgian Brasserie Henry, shared with ogivlado.
Poured a murky golden body with a medium sized head. Walnut in the nose, malty with some light alcohol. Interesting. The taste is remarkably light for the strength, malty and nutty, notes of coriander and orange. Subtle. Good beer but it didn’t impress me as much as it should have had.

Pours golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma of esters and higher alcohols, pineapple, bubble gum and peach. Taste is sweet and fruity, with notes of citrus and candy. Mouthfeel is heavy bodied with lush carbonation and some booziness.

Yellowy beige body with tons of brown sand sized floaties everywhere, a large fluffy white head that had phenomenal retention caped off the brew, don’t know what it is but this color of the beer doesn’t look right. Aroma attacks your nose with a very intense and strong wheat and yeast combo the 10% alcohol was nowhere to be found. This aroma is way too sharp it’s making the brew a little to aggressive smelling for me. Flavor seems to start off very strong and bold but melts away to nothing in the finish. Lots of wheaty malts and hints of unknown spice comprise the flavor, seems a to be a touch sweet for my liking but not out of control. The alcohol can’t be tasted what is pretty good given the 10% however my stomach is getting a very warm feeling half way done the beer. It’s a tasty brew but the flavor is a little too sharp and intense for me I think there are way better beers in this style that I would much rather drink and I think the label looks horribly tacky. Review done while watch UFC."
