Bottle. Light golden, cloudy. Decent - doesn’t taste strong. WAY overcarbonated.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 joshwilfong (1200) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - SEP 25, 2007
strong carbonation with a golden triple like appearance. flavor has a sweet tangyness to it that finshes with a spicy alcoholic character. the final taste is a little dry and takes away from the overall experience because it lacks the depth. a good strong ale, but not top of the line
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Kinz (2694) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - SEP 19, 2007
Pale gold with a light haze, nice carbonation. Aroma distincltly bready, not much else, looks like a yeast bomb. Flavor introduces some lightly peppery spice, more bread, almost straight up yeast, and faint bit of honey sweetness. Didn’t get any of the fruit characteristics mentioned by many others. Having said that, enjoyable overall.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 thewolf (8241) - Kolding, DENMARK - SEP 17, 2007
Bottle. (As Millenium 2000). [vintage 1999]. Bought @ Kulminator, Antwerp. Hazy orange with loads of small particulates. Head is light bubbly and thin. Aroma is sweet malty, a little port, light vinious. Extremely oily and low carbonation. Flavour is sweet, sticky, caramel, very vinious and warms all the way down. Light spicy finish. Great to try this aged.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 vyvvy (2798) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - SEP 16, 2007
Pours pale yellow with a generous sized white head. The aroma has white grapes and other light fruits, lots of yeast, very milky caramel flavors, sourdough and as much richness as cheesecake (but not the tastes). Medium / thin body that’s thinner than expected along with overly sharp carbonation. The taste starts over extra spicy with a bit of bread, booze, dry grapes and a touch of citrus. The finish is quite sharp and dry with bits of caramel. The flavor gets fruitier as it warms. A good beer, but not on the great level.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 redgold07 (308) - Irving, Texas, USA - SEP 13, 2007
Huge, very white head. Great pale golden/yellow color. I’ve had a handful of strong ales recently, and I have to say this one had the best flavor. Warming acidic zest flavor. 12 oz. bottle.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cobra (1076) - In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA - SEP 12, 2007
750 ml. Belgian bottle. Corked & caged.
Best before 01/18/09. Poured out a hazy, straw yellow color, with a huge white head. The head is meringue like, stiff & fluffy. Aromas are of acidic malt, cherries, spices. Flavors are of spices, cherries, lactic acid, slight Brett qualities also. Medium body & mouthfeel. Spicy, tangy finish to it. Decent beer overall, but a little too lemony for my tastes.
