Candy-like, marzipan sweetness in the aroma with herbal, grassy, citrus, lavender and floral hop notes that appear at different times as it warms. Opaque, yellow meringue-like body with low, fizzy, white head that recedes to partial cover. Candy-like maltiness to the fairly yeasty, alcohol saturated flavour with very agreeable herbal hop character and moderate finishing bitterness. Medium-light body with moderately strong and lightly prickly carbonation. Strong alcohol warming. Bottle at RBSG’05.

Small white head. Faintly hazy yellow body. Firm, harmonic sweetish aroma of tropical fruit with soft marzipan notes and a touch of alcohol. Taste is deep, sweet marzipan (and possibly chocolate) with notes of hops and something reminiscent of tobacco. Very smooth and harmonic, and quite bitter. Bitter, chalky aftertaste with strong hop notes. Very nice! (0.33l bottle.)

Sample from bottle at RBSG Montreal. Luscious opaque gold, full of floaty black bits of yeast, capped by a lasting cumulous cloud that laces a bit as it fades ever so slowly....big farmy-sour nose, overripe sunheated lemons and limes interacting with freshly cut pine boards, hibiscus and perfume, just gorgeous...the mouth feels honey stickiness and perhaps a touch of maple, pepper towards the end and cotton-candy...but strong alcohol is a bit overpowering at the end and keeps this just on the edge of greatness...overall, still, masterful, and probably my best of the fest.

A rather sweet ale, smooth with a subtle spicy aroma. Easy-drinking, pleasant, but not outstanding.

Big thanks to TheBeerCellar2: Poured a hazy dark yellow collor with a medium mostly white head. Sweet fruity aroma that smelled like candy. Flavor matched the aroma. Sweet and fruity. Semi-dry finish. Nice and warming but well hidden alcohol.

12-oz. Pours crystal clear golden with a towering, sudsy platinum blonde head. Big lemon and grass nose, a little bit of green apple there. Medium body, tingly carb. Lots of bread on the mid-palate, along with those lemon and grass notes. Bitter coriander finish. Lovely stuff.

Bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, tupalev, jerc & garthicus -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy gold with lots of floaties and an average size diminishing fluffy white head. Nice yeasty & citrusy aroma along with some light sweetness, fruit, spices and caramel. Yeasty flavour, quite tasty, with some sugary sweetness, sweet malt, a touch of alcohol and some bitterness. Average bodied. Pretty good stuff, I really liked it.
