UPDATED: NOV 25, 2007 Appearance: Pours a hazy blonde body with a huge, long-lasting white head. Smell: The bright aroma is flowery and certianly lemony, but there’s also a pleasant yeastiness to it. Taste: Initially, a sweet pilsner malt taste with a light, honeylike sweetness and notes of zesty lemon and apricots. Only very minor hints of banana and apple. A nice hit of spicy, peppery hops along with a hint of ginger in the finish. Lemony, hoppy aftertaste. Oh, and with each sip, the beer grows evermore spicy and warming. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Nicely warming. Drinkability: For a 10% abv brew, this beer goes down exceptionally easy. Especially in the middle of August.

Sampled at the 2010 Crescent Moon Extreme Beer Festival. Pours bright yellow with a slight chill haze. Medium white head. Big honey aroma. Floral fragrance. A flowery treat. It seems mild in flavor but has a huge fizzy burn going down. This beer is lethal.

A: The beer pours a clear golden-straw color with a fluffy white head. S: Smells of spices, particularly coriander and clove, with a big bready malt aroma. There are some light fruits such as pears and apples, and a sweet candi sugar character. Perhaps some mild floral hops and lemon zest. T: The flavor has a lot of similarities to a witbier. Seems to have a similar orange peel and coriander flavor, but certainly sweeter. Pale candi sugar along with some banana, alcohol, and bread. M: The body is medium with a moderate to high level of carbonation. D: As it warms, the booze starts to come out a bit more, but this is still a fine enough beer.

Big fluffy near-white head over an unclear yellow body. Belgo-yeast and sweet/acidic fruits in the aroma. Sweet fruit flavors. Also spice and alcohol with a noteable bitterness in the background. Medium body. Thick mouthfeel. Alcohol-heat in the finish. Very nice. (Bottle @ RBNAG’07)

Sampled bottle, RBNAG 2007 in Grimstad. ABV was 10%. Pale golden colour, fluffy white head. Surprisingly moderate aroma, slightly spicy. Fruity and spicy flavour, pleasant to drink, the ABV is well hidden, well balanced.

75 cl bottle. Bright, golden color. Strange funky aroma with concord grape and other fruits. Very unique. Concord or muscat flavor, with spices. Sweet, with nice hop flavor but low bitterness but nice dryness. Really interesting--one of the most unique beers I’ve tried lately. Love it.

Smells like apples. Juicy and crisp. Good stuff, crisp and biting, it has a sweet flavor, but one that goes down smoothly. Eminently enjoyable!
