Extremely effervescent, almost too much so as the pour becomes difficult. Nice spicy ale with a nice malty, warming finish with some sweet fruit, apricot?. Similar to the brut but perhaps a bit creamier and less crisp. Slightly darker color.

Dry at first, then becomes sticky, creamy and overflowing with yeast. A ton of floral notes and grassy herbs. Fizzy, perfect carbonation. Aroma is sour and funky. Soft finish. Incredible billowy head.

Bottle: Hazy blonde, light head and lacing. Nose of faint yeast and some tart zesty hop notes. The majority is the pilsner malt and citrusy anise and hop. The flavor is clean, nice and zesty. Clean belgian.

This corked, which was marked 12/06, and caged bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a hazy with floating yeast chunks softly carbonated deep orange colored body and a good lacing. The aroma was mild soft malts and mild coriander. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a distinct Belgian Strong Ale flavor. The flavor contained notes of coriander Salz hops? and vinous malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Cloudy golden hue, white foam becomes a ring with nice belgian lace. Coriander spiced lemon pie aroma. Hay, cream, meringous, herbal, fruit esters (apple, pears). Very yeasty spicy palate, lots of coriander, cloves and pepper attack the tongue gently. Mostly sweet and alcoholic unfortunately with a light earthy grassy bitterness touch in the finish. Well defined fluffy/foamy mouthfeel from the high carbonation. Overall, it's pleasant enough to deserve high marks despite the few aspects I would change, it remains rather complex with well defined fruits and balancing bitterness unlike many poorer examples.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2007 (750ml bottle, labeled Malheur Millennium, BB 26/01/07) Bottle opened with absolutely incredible pressurization that mimicked a gun shot causing heads to duck around the room. Pours a cloudy orange body with a medium-sized egg-white head. Aroma of citrus (lemon, lime, grapefruit), apricot and mustiness. Flavor of malt, spicy yeast, coriander, and hops with a soft, creamy mouthfeel.

Hazy gold color with a nice sized, frothy white head. Lemony, yeasty aroma with hay/grass and very light spice. Nice big carbonation with substantial body. Very warming initially, with honey-like sweetness. Towards the middle, some bread and yeast become evident. Finishes with spice, banana and while the alcohol is warming, it’s not distracting at all. Nice!
