Poured a hazy white with a two finger creamy white head. The nose was sweet, Belgian, yeasty, white pepper, phenolic, alcohol, curacao. The flavor was spicy, warming, fruity, white pepper, yeasty. Nice Belgian influence. The palate was very nice, very large prominent carbonation. Alcohol became very hot.

Slightly cloudy, golden colored pour with a huge fluffy white head. Nose is floral with a generous amount of Belgian yeast coming through. Mouthfeel is a touch more substantial than I expected – nice. Flavor is spicy, yeasty, and bread-like. Wow – 10% alcohol, covered well.

Very nice strong Belgian blonde, like Duvel with an extra kick. Deep golden to ruby body with a huge, slowly dissipating head. Some sweet malts, perhaps a bit too much (particularly as the beer warms), but a healthy dose of dry fruits, spice, and grassy hops. Good stuff.

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy golden color with an extremely thick, rocky and creamy white head. Impossible to drink within 10 minutes after pouring without stuffing the head in my nose. Aroma is spicy, fruity, somewhat alcoholic and some malts are present. Intense fruity flavor with spices, yeast and coriander. Some bitterness and a little sweetness. Well balanced and the alcohol is well hidden in the taste. Great creamy texture and extremely well carbonated. Very nice Belgian Ale.

26/12/2010 - 33cl bottle @ home
Note: the beer has been aged for over a year.
Cloudy dark yellow beer, white creamy adhesive stable head. Aroma: hops, spices, pepper, alcohol (hard to disguise). MF: soft carbon, full body. TAste: hops, sweet malts, spices and warming alcohol. Aftertaste: a little sweet, hops, pepper and citrus. Not bad, but a young version would not score so high.

This is for all intents a purposes a tripel style ale. One of the beers where the yeast has most changed the flavor, but not in a bad way. There is a slight hop presence and sweet banana and belgian spices. Quite a nice beer.
