Big fluffy near-white head over an unclear yellow body. Belgo-yeast and sweet/acidic fruits in the aroma. Sweet fruit flavors. Also spice and alcohol with a noteable bitterness in the background. Medium body. Thick mouthfeel. Alcohol-heat in the finish. Very nice. (Bottle @ RBNAG’07)

Thanks to JK and Katie, who brought this bottle back from Belgium. I have to find out how they got this past TSA Security. Pours a very cloudy, light orange brew with a thick white head. Lasts a while too. Aroma of lemon peel, sweet seeded fruit, citrus hops and a touch of vanilla. Taste is a good balance of sweetness and dry malt. Maybe a slight acidic but a crisp and full body finish. Alcohol is a bit over-board - Woo hoo! I’m finished for the night.

On tap at flying saucer. Pours a cloudy orange gold with a small creamy white head that lasts awhile leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is clove banana and citrus. Medium mouthfeel with a dry malt with clove and a nice dry finish. Easy to drink, a good belgian strong ale.

pale yellow pour with fluffy white head, sticky lacing, lots of chunkies in the glass. Fruity, tart peach aroma, slight spice and alcohol notes. Flavor is slightly boozy, spicy, hint of vanilla and a firm sweetness. Finishes pretty dry. Nice beer.

The champagne of beer. Pours with a huge, frothy, white head. Completely opaque yellow with some particles floating arond in it. Champagne, tangy, peeachy aroma with a hint of raisins. Taste is champagne like with some sourness at the end. Obvious alcohol content. Pretty fizzy and dry mouthfeel.

Very nice Belgian Ale - easy drinking for the most part. There are some very nice and very interesting characteristics. Has a aroma of freshly mowed hay - quite yeasty - but in a good way. A nice beer to enjoy on a warm summer day on the patio with burgers and hotdogs off the grill.
