Floral, fruity hop aromas. Hazy orange tinged gold color with small chunks. A rocky white head that tries to lace. Medium body with fluffy carbonation. Honeyed malt with lots of flavors: citrus, other fruit, herbs. A bit astringent despite a persistent sweetness. The finish is dryish and lightly hopped, but not excessively bitter. The alcohol is not really noticeable, and this drinks quite easily.

Nicely flavored, drinkable ale. Pours with a creamy head and an opaque, banana peel yellow color. Not as fragrant as some others (mine was past its ’best by’ date and probably lost alot of hoppiness). Sweet, juicy fruit taste w. very discernible alcohol presence. Notes of pears and vanilla. Finished crisply. Some mustiness which didn’t blend that well with the overall character of this beer, i.e. a hint of staleness.

Pours pale yellow with a generous sized white head. The aroma has white grapes and other light fruits, lots of yeast, very milky caramel flavors, sourdough and as much richness as cheesecake (but not the tastes). Medium / thin body that’s thinner than expected along with overly sharp carbonation. The taste starts over extra spicy with a bit of bread, booze, dry grapes and a touch of citrus. The finish is quite sharp and dry with bits of caramel. The flavor gets fruitier as it warms. A good beer, but not on the great level.

Quiet a heavy beer for a blond beer. Bitter, something citrus, a little sweet.

Bottled: Light golden coloured. Off white head. Huge and dense. Yeast, spices, fruit, alcahol in the nose. Fresh. Alcahol, fruit, yeast, spices and grapefruit in the flavour. Quite complex. Ends on a sharp alcaholnote with some light citric nuances.

A robust golden blonde color gleaming with sunshine. I found a lot of pepper and spice in the aroma. A nice combo of spices, yeasts, malts, that give it kind of an acidic, spicey, slightly bile like qualities, but it finishes like a champ.

From bottle at ’t Brugs Beertje. Great aroma with perfumy notes and light honey. Little bit of hops and some candy sugar. Fairly standard tripel aroma, though it’s a Belgian Strong. Medium amber-golden hazy body with creamy white lacing head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts sweet with musky grain. Nice alcohol warming. Tasty with light chalky after. Sweet and smooth.

3/01 on the cork. Clear amber body with a fluffy alabastor head. Sharp, intense nose is fairly sweet with a strong hop presence. Sweet honey, piney hops, tart apples and light flowers. The body is fairly full and with a strong carbonated bite. The flavor is good, but difficult to grasp. It seems to me that the beauty of most Belgians is the interaction of the malts and the yeast, with hops providing a nice balance. Here the hops try to dominate. Piney bitter hops slowly take over sweet, fruity malt. A bit of grain toward the end as the hops start to fade. Warm and relaxing, but just a bit out my preference zone.
