Bottle. Pours a light amber color with a frothy white head. Aroma was not appealing, kind of skunky with spices and slight sugar in the background. Taste was slightly sour and spices. A little too carbonated but refreshing.

Ripe banana cloudy golden yellow. 2 inch head settles to /14" rather quickly. Tons of carbonation and sediment present. Smells like weak alcohol, and yeast and some barley. Flavor is rich malt, and yeast. Texture, a bit rash. Finish is alcoholic, dry, and yeasty.

Aroma of light fruit but with some sourness from apple, cherries and white grape. Appearance is translucent gold with off white head. Flavor reminds me of a tripel but with a lemony finish; very cough drop like. Palate is bubbly. Strange lemony flavors threw this off for me.

Peculier Pub: CARBONATION!!! 2x as much as I ever want in a beer, actually scrub away the taste way too quickly. Dark golden pour, and despite the carbonation the head disappeared almost immediately. Very sweet, but bad sweet. Like young, sugary fruits. No thanks!

Apparently all the new Lebanese supermarkets in Kinshasa are stocking this stuff. How’s that for international? I pour it into a hand-crafted Kasaï chalice I picked up in Kananga: massive head, hard to tell what the body looks like, probably orangey or something. The aroma, that which isn’t overpowered by the wood from the chalice, is sweet alcohol-adjunct with a hint of hops and Belgian sugars. Flavour is strong hops notes which drowns out the alcohol quite well; the mouthfeel is also somewhat watery, surprising for such a strong brew. For a strong beer, it delivers and it tastes all right.

Bottle at BXL Really light color, soapy head Nose seemed sour at first, like a lambic, but taste is clearly a strong tripel. Honey, dry on the first taste then a CRAZY aftertaste, bitter and hoppy. Aftertaste, nose, and flavor all seemed mellower after that first sip, like I got numb to it. Not super complex. Strong alcohol. Light, Buzzy carbonation. Pretty drinkable for a 10% booze-fest. Knocked it down with a goat cheese and honey salad... Perfect. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma is honey-like and malty with yeast, fruit, and hops. The appearance is deep gold with a very large head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall very refreshing.

"Ok, bought this 11.2 oz brown bottle beer at my local bottle shop for an affordable amount, $3.95, never saw it before. Slightly hazy pale yellow. Good visible sparkling carbonation appears within. Gunk on bottom promotes a hypnotizing swirling show in the glass towards the end of the bottle. Pretty large creamy head even with a gentle pour. Sweet aroma and not alarmingly volatile for a 10% beer. Starts off friendly then evolves to a more strong taste. Fairly strapping alky bite but it’s tempered with a goodly amount of welcomed carbonation on the palate. You’d never think this was 10%. Makes this beer pretty interesting and I don’t like to be bothered with higher alky beers. Goes down fairly easy and is much more agreeable than many of the tuffer beers I’ve tasted. The taste progression is first kind, then alky impact builds and finally it levels off to an agreeable friend. Finish is non-assuming and not appalling for such a strong brew. Impressed with this 10% brew. Perhaps it’s my state of mind today. S6L4T4F3012"
