3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 womencantsail (3572) - Home of Rebecca Black, California, USA - FEB 16, 2011
A: The beer pours a dark brown color with a finger or two of creamy, khaki colored head.
S: A bit fruit aroma to this beer. Lots of banana accompanied by raisins, cherries, plums, and perhaps figs. Plenty of sugar character in the form of toffee, caramel, and candy sugar. A bit of alcohol is certainly there, too.
T: A ton of banana flavor which is really quite nice. There is still a lot of dark fruit character here along with the typical intense sugar notes of a Quad. Lots of caramel, candi sugar, molasses, and maybe just a bit of roast.
M: The body is medium with a moderate to high level of carbonation.
D: Surprisingly easy to drink and very little booze apparent on the palate.

An excellent beer. It was a bit lively (after a long cycle ride). Great taste
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 erickok (802) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - FEB 6, 2011
UPDATED: SEP 18, 2011 Bold, brown body, solid tan head. Nice caramel, pear, wood, leaves. Delicious fatty, sweet flavour revealing even more complexities, such as spices and pine. Well balanced carbonation/alcohol backup. Reminds me of a Westvleteren 12 albeit not as smooth. Amazing beer that shows it?s hops and malts in heaps. (7,95 EUR, 75cl bottle)

Clear dark reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, dark malts, dried fruit, spices and yeast. Very sweet flavor with an alcoholic and soft finish. The sweetness is not balanced as well as in other Belgian strong ales. 190111

Live rate! Bottle courtesy of hellbilly -- thanks, Chef! Pours a rich plum color with a frothy beige head. Smells of Belgian yeast, alcohol, cloves, and allspice. Silky on the palate with notes of figs, sweet malt, faint hops, tart apple, and a warming burn on the finish. It’s making me smile as I drink it.
