33 cl bottle. Sweet aroma, malts, raisins, plums. Dark brown, nice foamy tan head, lasting, lacing. Warm taste (probably the alcohol), dark fruits, mild coffee, caramel. Full body, every sip is different due to the alcohol that getís more prominent.

Bottle from Wine of Galilee in Tallinn. Opaque brown with beautiful bright mahogany. Head is massive but drops fast to leave a thin layer leaving some lacing, soon to disappear; colour is light cream. On the nose thereís a lot of caramel and grains, some dark fruits... liqueur crawls forward more and more as it warms. Taste is very sweet... dark fruits soaked in liqueur, caramel, woody, spicy. Quite a lot of dry bitterness in the finish. Heavy on the tongue, with a thick and syrupy palate and active carbonation. Pretty good drinkability despite the 12% ABV - in fact, if I didnít know any better Iíd have guessed it to be between 8-10%. Overall - too caramelly sweet for my liking. Itís not among my favourite Belgian Strong Dark Ales.

Shedding in the Trappist glass foams presented average, beige and soft and durable, leaving thin layer perennial. The body is an opaque dark brown with red and very beautiful reflections. The roasting aroma is wonderful, delicate, and alcohol does not appear in the aroma, but there are noble hops, floral accents, fruity, citrus and dry. Felt no toasted or roasted in armoma which surprised me. I noticed this a little Belgian yeast. In my humble opinion this beer complete all requirements of a good Quadrupel abbey style. Surely a striking feature is the aroma that is not very strong in intensity, but it turns out complex, delicate and accompanying tasting until the last sip. † Taste takes the same aroma of course with generous doses of coffee, a beautiful Belgian yeast and floral hops. Alcohol shows its claws warming slightly every sip that clashes a bit the set despite its 12% content. Its carbonation is high, which was soon confirmed in the first sip. The bitterness appears well and refreshes the set, helping a lot the drinkability of this beer, poi the alcohol content is high. A powerful end. In its aftertaste feel a bitter light, one torrefado in the background a taste of dried ameixar. Well inserted. One of the greatest merits of this Quadrupel Trappist style is at its high alcoholic content not to be heavy drinking not being too sweet and not at all cloying not. A work of art brewing.

Pours a dark, amber with a hazy, cloudy body and a huge foamy mess of off yellow head. The aroma is rich with toffee and caramel malts, raisin and prune notes and Belgian esters. Nice light candy sweetness up front with the dark, dried fruit. The finish is heavy and warm with booze. A good quad overall with tons of sediment and yeast flavour.
