Pours a deep brown with an off-white soapy head. Aroma is of molasses, dark fruit, brown sugar, and a slight mention of hops. Flavor of the same, with a slick sugary goodness. Nice carbonation with slight hops in the backbone. Very good beer.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Arayaga2 (1435) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 11, 2008
Opaque brown with a dense taupe head that fades in about a minute. Aroma is very rich, with sweet, fruity, alcoholic brandy notes with just a hint of leather. Taste is just as it smells, right down to the fruit. Alcohol dries on the palate, with perfect carbonation that gives way to cherry notes. $10/750
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Magjayran (1379) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - OCT 5, 2008
Dark brownish red color with a thick tan head. Some prune and dates in the aroma. Very sweet tasting with dark fruit and caramel dominating. Seems to be a little thin for such a strong beer.

On tap @ KBF in Geel. Hazy dark brown beer, beige head. Aroma of caramel, yeast, a bit soapy floral notes. Flavour is caramel, dark fruits, malty sweet, bitter finish. Mouthfeel is full, creamy and soft. ABV very well hidden. Excellent stuff.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 davidpl (435) - Santiago, CHILE - SEP 26, 2008
Appearance: dark mahogany color. Big head, beige, some rocky and lasting.
Aroma: yeast and vanilla with cookies reminiscences. Intensive ripe fruits smells like figs, plums and berries in liquor. Notes of caramel, butter, chocolate, rum, coconut, ice cream, clove and nougat.
Flavor: caramel and toasted malts, sweet start. Several hints and reminiscences like caramel, butterscotch, toffee, vanilla, clove, bitter chocolate, truffles, grain coffee, figs, raisins in rum, hazelnuts toasted, plums, "Irish coffee", mocha, blueberries, calafate, etc. Light bitterness, lasting and multidimensional from the toast, the alcoholic degree and the hops, maybe some resinous and with slight medicinal herbal touches. Liquory similar to Fernet. Floral aftertaste, similar to chamomile.
Palate: full body, semi-creamy and oily texture. Low to medium carbonation.
Remark: Wonderful and complex beer; a symphony of aromas, flavors and textures.

Bottle. Dark mahogony beer with an off-white head. Rich caramel, malt, dried fruit aroma with fig/raisin and light chocolate notes. Sweet caramel malt flavor with raisins and yeast. Medium bodied. Lingering sweet malt, raisins, figs and light yeast. Aging should do wonders.

Bottle shared by Fidel, pours a beautiful burnt caramel color with a tan head that diminishes to a layer of coating that lingers. This one seems much more like a quad to me, with brown sugar, caramel, dried fruit and a touch of chocolate. Excellent! The flavor is much the same, with a very subtle dry finish. Really no hint of alcohol.
