Bottled sample via trade (lubiere perhaps?) Dark amber in colour with moderate to low carbonation. Aromas are of stewed plums and red berries, along with cooked sugar, hothouse flowers, red figs, acetone, and munch-like malts. Flavours are heavy on the malts and stewed fruit, but with some interesting salty black licorice and herbs along for the ride. Somewhat of a slick mouthfeel, with a long malty (yet not cloying) finish. I think the age of the bottle might have negatively effected the aroma, but the flavours are still good. Sort of like a fruitier Pannepot.

bottle pours a very dark red, pretty much brown, with some sediment floating about, and a giant beige / light tan / creme colored sustaining head. Aroma of burnt sugar, caramelized dark fruit, raisin, fig. A soft note of pear. Pretty smooth and drinkable for 12% - I wouldn’t have guessed the abv. Modest carbonation, medium to full bodied. not as thick or overbearing as you might think. Flavor is dark and malty, pretty classic profile of raisins, figs, burnt sugar. Finish is the same. It is good, enjoyable, but lacking in complexity. I much prefer malheur 10, which I thought was a very unique rendition of the style.

33cl bottle. Appears dark brown with a small beige brown head. Aroma’s of sugars, and burnt fruits, earthy and roasted. A bit of yeast in the mouthfeel also a bit of alcohol. Bitter on the swallow and balanced well in the aftertaste. Not really complex in aroma’s and 12% is a lot.

It is a gusher. It is sweet and yeast-dominated. A dark black color. There is also a hint of mint.

Bottle 330ml at Plonk, Canberra. Masterpiece. Aromas of caramel, nuts, biscuit, and a hint of butter; alcohol is well hidden. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and long length. Palate is sticky, and full bodied. Brown, with a frothy head.

Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass dark brown, zippy, short living head. Starts mild, malty, more and more fruity like plum. Gets stronger and also warming-alcoholic. Finish fiery-malty. Not bad!

Deep, clear mahogany with a moderate beige head that fades to almost nothing. Lots of fruit in the aroma, cherry, plum, tropicals, with notes of cola, caramel and alcohol. Sweet fruity taste with heavy alcohol and a slight hop presence. Medium full bodied, a little fizzy, with enough alcohol to numb the tongue a bit. It kind of tastes like rum and coke.
