Aroma was of deeply-toasted wood and chocolate on the first impression with some herbal and vinous notes lagging behind. Flavor had a toasted marshmallow and caramel fore that gave rise to a rather empty middle... light smoky caramel and warm booze on the back-end. Syrupy front and back with an empty middle.. not very good transitions there.. warm through the finish. I was expecting more.

From 75 cl bottle shared at home. Pours a hazy brown with a thick off white head. Caramel nose. Flavors of candy sugar, caramel, toffee and some dark fruit. Smooth and luscious mouthfeel. Sweet finish.

Clear brown color, tan head. Sweet, alcohol, fruit esters scent. Fruity, alcohol, sweet tatse. Medium mouthfeel, medium low bitterness.

Draught at Belgian Beer Weekend in Osaka. Fantastic blend of flavours with very little alcohol coming through making it incredibly drinkable.

Cerveja bonita de um cor marrom bem escura e espuma bem formada.Sabor bem agradável de frutas vermelhas e toffee que por vezes é um pouco prejudicado pela potência do álcool.Falta algo de corpo.Uma bela cerveja.

Slightly stale with a strong alcohol taste. Has a sweet and peppery flavor with hints of raisins, dates, and very little hop presence.

Big creamy longlasting head. Aroma is dried dark fruits, dark sugar, dough, citrus, dark malts. Taste is dark sugar, grass, dried dark fruits, bread, caramel, some licorice. Medium bitterness. Boring.

aroma like typical dubbel - sweet, fruity, caramely, candy - weird, also warming alcohol pungent. pours with huge geige foam, color - deep copper reddish, fast to medium dissapearing top, staying in nice foam layer, astringent to tongue, sweet malty flavor, something precisely between wooden and earthy in flavor, more taste, palate yeasty then in aroma, above medium body, thick, oily texture, lively carbonation, astringent, minimal dry finish with bitter from darker malts, mild one. long finish.
O.A. - enjoyed this one, weird that fruity, candy aroma, but is intense and pleasnt, so good, maybe would like to see more maturation tones, some anciestry, but is very drinkable - in small amounts. cant give in aroma more, cause of alcohol over dominant.
