Man, this is good! It it very much reminds me of Duval, but not as sour and perhaps a bit more malty. It's got citrus and thyme notes in it as well. Pours with a nice, merange type head. Just excellent. Of course, it's a Belgian, what can be said?

Decent quaffable Belgian ale. light gold in colour with a little too much carbonation for my taste. citrus hop aroma. Taste is citrus with mild malt and yeast flavours. I could drink a few of these instead of an IPA maybe. Get out the Belgian lawnmower!

My bottle must be from WAY BEFORE 2000, because nobody mentioned the large fishfood looking particals, and strong yeasty nose. Nothing subtle here, huge cobwebby first sip, with a strong alcohol presence. Has this gone bad, or mad? Sweet and somewhat fruity middle gave off green apple as it warmed. Strong hay and yeast finish, again with more alcohol than anyone described. The other 2 (higher alcohol versions) were much easier to drink.

Well this seems to have a grapefruit skin color to it with a soapy head on it.Really nice citrus aroma to it, maybe with a lil strawberry lemonade on it. A wet/dry hay thing going on with the taste at first. A definite earthiness becomes aparent, but thats about the extent. Tends to show some washington apples in it also. A nice vrew, and I also must thank Dasilky1.

Fruity aroma. Straw colored, cloudy. Blonde lite. Not much flavor for a Belgian. Somewhat fruity and somewhat yeasty and somewhat drinkable.

Same set of bottles as Dasilky1, probably at least 3 years or more aged. The pour was a light golden color, very bright with extremely lively carbonation and a massively white foamy head. which actually faded pretty quickly after i stopped pouring. The aroma's are absolutely all over the place. I picked up lemon, orange, cherries, Oak, strong sour apples, hops, and grapefruit. The taste is very flemish sour ale like. Strong pungent apples, strong carbonation, heavy emphasis on bittering hops, decent dry apple/malt ending. Cherry, lemon, and big apple in the taste. Fairly pleased palate..a little rogue given the high carbonation level and soda-like qualities from aging. A very nice beer. Thanks Dasilky1.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2003 semi-cloudy orangish yellow with a large bright white head..aroma was very faint with lemon zest and bready malt..slightly flowery, slighty acidic..a little malty..and a tad bitter at the end..the guy at the store told me it was the best belgian beer in the world..I wonder how many convenience store owners are stand up comedians at night..I'll give it this..For a best before date of 11-03-00 and drank in january of 2003..its very refreshing and fresh tasting..but there really isnt much going on as far as flavor..which is probably why the convenience store owner likes it so much...although it does have a pleasing lemon zesty bready thing going on that makes it unusually refreshing

Nice refreshing ale. I could drink it all evening and get drunk. But it’s not very special. I like the other Malheur beers better. It’s light sweet, fruity, light bitter. A bit too thin. Seems like a Palm-like beer brewed for the masses.
