COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a country with beers named after the Devil, or called "Sudden Death", one called "Misfortune" (Malheur, in French) is just another wry jest. The beer itself is no joke. On the contrary, it is an inspired beer. Malheur is made in a new, revivalist, brewery.

bottle. Clear golden colour, mid-sized white head. Medium-bodied, malty, slightly hoppy with herbal hints and slightly grassy. Quite light for the strength.

Very hazy golden body with a small white head that settles as a thin layer, some lacing. The aroma is rather strong and quite candy sweet, but also with hints of dust. It’s fruity with banana, bubble gum, spices, yeast and traces of vanilla. A very light sweetness and bitterness, and the finish isn’t very long-lasting. The quite strong flavours are a bit less candy-ish than the aroma and the spices are more evident. Medium to light bodied, a bit water body with a dry finish, lively carbonation. Quite good.

Somewhat opaque golden yellow with white foam head. Aroma is good decent Belgian ale, same as taste. Good, strong decent beer. (Velp 201309) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2014 Aroma of ripe fruits, malty grain. Slightly sour. Rich carbonation, bit too rich for my taste. An ok blonde, but there’s tons better.

Dorée claire, pétillance moyenne, col fin. Du début malté, on ne passe pas trop vite au houblon à cause d’un côté lavasse. Manque cruellement de nuances!

Tried at Anders Bier festival in Tongeren. Pale orange beer, nice white creamy head that disappear slowly. Aroma is grainy, malty. Flavor is quite sweet, with some hints of malt and yeast. Mouthfeel is low carbonation, light to medium body. I’ve got a little bit disappointed after try the Malheur 10! :/

From bottle at a tasting at Bar & Cigar. Almost clear golden with a white head. Fairly mild fruity and yeasty aroma with spices, malt and hints of hops. Moderate sweet, yeasty and fruity with some acidity and bitterness. Well balanced. Nice and easy drinkable Belgian ale.
