COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a country with beers named after the Devil, or called "Sudden Death", one called "Misfortune" (Malheur, in French) is just another wry jest. The beer itself is no joke. On the contrary, it is an inspired beer. Malheur is made in a new, revivalist, brewery.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a thick, frothy, white head. Interesting aroma and flavor of pilsner malt and noble hops with a bitter finish. This feels like a belgian pilsner but I prefer the bohemian pilseners. The body is light and creamy and the carbonation is moderate.

Bottle. Hazy pale golden body, medium to small head. Sweet yeasty aroma with wheat. Sweet wheaty/yeasty taste. Adequate hoppiness. Alright table beer but a forgettable drop in the vast ocean of Belgian Blondes. Could do with a stronger character. PS: "Malheur 6" sounds like a name for a French rap sextet or a metal band.

250ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours hazy gold with good white head. It’s a basic blonde, soft, doughy and lightly sweet but it’s a blonde done well. Gotta love a good Malheur.

Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel. The beer is golden blond with a slight haze and a white head, with very livingly CO2. A fruity scent of orange and pear. A delicate sweetness of candy with additionally the smell of overripe flowers. The taste has a subtle dry bitterness and besides a light fruitiness of peaches. The aftertaste is delicious with elegant bitters.

250ml bottle. Clear golden color. Medium size, beige head, stays. Dead yeast, malty, fruity, touch of honey in aroma. Sweet malts, honey, herbal, touch of yeast in taste. Crisp mouthfeel. Sweet malty aftertaste. Herbal hops in late aftertaste. I kind of enjoy those hops in there.

Pours hazy orange with a big white head. Sweet, fruity, yesty and a bit dusty aroma. Flavor has notes of citrus, dust and belgian yeast. A bit to light, was hopeing for a deeper and longer flavor. Light bitter finish with a long duration.
