COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a country with beers named after the Devil, or called "Sudden Death", one called "Misfortune" (Malheur, in French) is just another wry jest. The beer itself is no joke. On the contrary, it is an inspired beer. Malheur is made in a new, revivalist, brewery.

(Bottle, BB 9/11/07) Pours a hazy golden body with a small white head. Aroma of apricot, apple, light citrus, and pizza crust dough. Flavor of mild citrusy hops, apple, and caramel with a nice refreshing carbonation that makes for a nice thirst-quencher for the summer heat.

bottle at home ... golden yellow ... big bubbly white head ... soft grassy yeasy hop nose ... banana and light salty hop flavour ... light dry yeast ... soft fruits ... ok... but not exciting me.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2011 Bottle. Unclear, golden body, and an off-white head. Spices, pale malt, some sugar and grass in the aroma. Nice, but a bit boring. Grass, pale malt, spicyness and some hops in the flavor, finishing dry and spicy. Medium body. A nice beer, but the Malheur 4-10 are growing a bit boring on me. Rating: 6-4-6-3-13-3.2. 070928

Bottle. It pours a hazy, golden body and a minimal-sized off-white head. Belgo-style fruity aroma with sugar and a hint of cellar. Slightly citrusy flavor, some pale malts and a faint hint of cellar. Medium body, citrusy, malty finish. It drinks easy, but is almost as boring as an industrial pilsner. 110107

Bottled 25cl (BB 04/2012)
Slightly hazy golden color, good off-white head. Aroma of fresh herbs, rubber and lime peels. Quite light, watery for being 6% brew. Crisp. Flavor is similar to nose: lime peels, flowery - elderflowery herbal flavors, dry finish. Refreshing but simple.

thewolf (9826) - Kolding, DENMARK - DEC 29, 2007
Bottle, bought @ Magasin, Aarhus. Pours a hazy orange with a big frothy, bubble white head. Aroma is malty with light sweetness and fruity zestiness - some clemtines and oranges. Relatively light mouthfeel, rather high carbonation. Flavour is sweeter than expected, with yeast at the back and lots of sweet orange peel. A touch thin perhaps, but avoids (perhaps intentionally) the fruity tartness of many other blondes.

Pinball (9654) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 13, 2009
cloudy orange, large white head that soon grows smaller. aroma is honey, mango, yeast, old hops. flavor is hoppy, fruity, dry, balanced. if you like hops and belgian this is a good mix.
