3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted with Beermouth. Enormous white head with a beautiful fruity and grapy aroma typical for the style. Wonderful "fat" yellow colour, quite appetizing with a freshy flavor with strong notes similar to a triple. Fullbodied of the style and lots of notes of triple-fruits. Wonderful!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
33 cl bottle, ’bbe’ March 07. Dark golden with a myriad of tiny sediment flakes. Strong pearling and an almost creamy white froth that holds and laces moderately. Nose of hops and warm, sugary biscuit cake. Gets a bit rubbery on warming up. Dry, fruity (apples), relatively hoppy taste. A light acidity tickles the edges of the tongue. Strong carbonation, warm finish. Good, but misses the ’added value’.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very cloudy blonde body (almost opaque) with a long lasting large white head. Nose is weak and a bit spicy (coriander , peppery). Very yeasty and fruity with some candy/sugar. Mild-medium bitterness. A little alcohol bite despite being only 8% (disappointing). This is not a stronger Malheur 6, side by side they were totally different beasts, almost unrelated. I couldn’t decide which one I preferred. A good beer but it doesn’t stand up to their Malheur Brut, but then again nobody dares standing up to a brute.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, Belgium, May 05.
Head is initially large, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy medium yellow, bottle conditioned.
Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain, bread), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (cobwebs, mold), with a hint of honey.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
My notes don’t mention where I found this, but I’m pretty sure it was at the Hotel Centrum in Beersel. And yes, it’s bottled, and 8% as you’d expect, not 6.5%.
