beermouth (435) - Langeskov, DENMARK - MAR 9, 2007
Shared with BeerBiker. Slight hazy golden yellow with amazing ad long lasting white head. Got a’lot of freshness and great carbonation. Taste is quit lemon-like and with notes of apple, orange, amlt and orange.

schuimkroaat (423) - Leuven, BELGIUM - DEC 10, 2006
33 cl bottle, ’bbe’ March 07. Dark golden with a myriad of tiny sediment flakes. Strong pearling and an almost creamy white froth that holds and laces moderately. Nose of hops and warm, sugary biscuit cake. Gets a bit rubbery on warming up. Dry, fruity (apples), relatively hoppy taste. A light acidity tickles the edges of the tongue. Strong carbonation, warm finish. Good, but misses the ’added value’.

Glouglouburp (6096) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 5, 2006
Very cloudy blonde body (almost opaque) with a long lasting large white head. Nose is weak and a bit spicy (coriander , peppery). Very yeasty and fruity with some candy/sugar. Mild-medium bitterness. A little alcohol bite despite being only 8% (disappointing). This is not a stronger Malheur 6, side by side they were totally different beasts, almost unrelated. I couldn’t decide which one I preferred. A good beer but it doesn’t stand up to their Malheur Brut, but then again nobody dares standing up to a brute.

Ernest (6307) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 24, 2005
Bottle, Belgium, May 05. Head is initially large, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain, bread), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (cobwebs, mold), with a hint of honey. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. My notes don’t mention where I found this, but I’m pretty sure it was at the Hotel Centrum in Beersel. And yes, it’s bottled, and 8% as you’d expect, not 6.5%.

Bottle 33 cl. Golden colour, long lasting head. Fruity and yeasty smell. A belgian ale... It’s okay.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Orange golden hazy ale with an impressive "shaving foam" tall and stable head. Some malt, but it’s the extreme hops, that really characterizes this beer. A bitterness that lasts all the way to the palate. Impressive number of Malheur variations, that De Landtsheer produces. 071104
