AmEricanbrew (919), Left Coast, Louisiana, USA May 8, 2008 Clear pale lager color and fizz. A mostly dry earthy yeast and pale malt aroma. Has an expansive, foaming busy mouthfeel. Taste is dusty pale malts, musty leather with a light medicinal essence. A dry, high octane Euro lager here. Very smooth and easy drinking. The 11% is well cloaked.
Naven (712), San Diego, California, USA Aug 24, 2008 2006 Michael Jackson commemorative bottle. Shared with Bartzilla and others. Super fruity, sour aroma, which was odd because there was no sourness in the flavor. It was sweet, spicy and extremely dry and bitter. The Saaz hops were almost overwhelming. Im all for hops, but these Saaz hops just seem to linger and linger. Pretty good beer, but in very very small doses. I had to have a Tecate after this just to get the bitterness out of my mouth. Suds_McDuff (1013), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston,TX, Texas, USA Aug 23, 2008 pours with a huge stable white cloud-like head, easiest perfect appearance score ever ... lots of nice and interesting flavours ... yellow gold colour ... smells of a hefe-tripel champagne mix ... shocked to find out it is 11% ... ’here kitty kitty’ ... an extremely enjoyable beer, worth $25 , i don’t know, good stuff though.. fata2683 (86), APO, New York, USA Aug 21, 2008 VERY strong blondish ale. I had this at the Beer Passion weekend in Antwerp and this beer forced me to take a break, it is easy to drink...very complex and refreshing, but also 11 percent.
