fata2683 (62), APO, New York, USA Aug 21, 2008 VERY strong blondish ale. I had this at the Beer Passion weekend in Antwerp and this beer forced me to take a break, it is easy to drink...very complex and refreshing, but also 11 percent. (Post-Mondial Tasting) FatPhil (2063), Espoo, Finland Jul 31, 2008 750ml bottle (Gallows Bird, Helsinki) shared by Mirjukka - thanks!
Subtle hoppy aroma. Succulent but very crisp palate - managed to trivially cut through everything else I’d had that evening, which was plenty. Re-invigorated my tastebuds too. It’s very hoppy, but not in the American way. It’s incredibly subtle and crisp. Made some very very good Danish beers at SOPP taste positively mediocre. Sublime, one of the most thrilling beer-drinking experiences I’ve ever had. Strength through subtlety and balance. Wonderful.
