thedm (3405), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Mar 21, 2008 This corked and caged bottled brew marked 30/06/2008 from a bottle shop poured a very large sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated and thick foamy lacing. The aroma was farmhouse funky and malt hop. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of malt and dough. An OK brew just nothing special.
fata2683 (62), APO, New York, USA Aug 21, 2008 VERY strong blondish ale. I had this at the Beer Passion weekend in Antwerp and this beer forced me to take a break, it is easy to drink...very complex and refreshing, but also 11 percent. Miver (378), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 12, 2008 750ml bottle from 2003. Thanks Clark. Poured cloudy dark golden in color with a white head. Bit of sourdough bread aroma. Slightly hazy, light orange brown body with a medium foamy white head. Sweet boozy malt flavour has fairly heavy yeast. Medium body is quite boozy. Fair.
(Post-Mondial Tasting) FatPhil (2063), Espoo, Finland Jul 31, 2008 750ml bottle (Gallows Bird, Helsinki) shared by Mirjukka - thanks!
Subtle hoppy aroma. Succulent but very crisp palate - managed to trivially cut through everything else I’d had that evening, which was plenty. Re-invigorated my tastebuds too. It’s very hoppy, but not in the American way. It’s incredibly subtle and crisp. Made some very very good Danish beers at SOPP taste positively mediocre. Sublime, one of the most thrilling beer-drinking experiences I’ve ever had. Strength through subtlety and balance. Wonderful.
