IrishBoy (2505), Bakersfield, California, USA Jun 29, 2009 750 ml bottle from Liquid Solutions; Best Before 30/06/2008. Lightly hazy yellow with a huge (3 fingers) pale yellow head that lasted a long time and laced keavily. Nose of yeast, light tartness, corriander, and golden raisins. Flavor is a touch of lemon, lots of yeast, a touch of honey and bubblegum without any really noticeable alcohol. My Rating #2500! Not really worth the $27.99 plus shipping! Vertical Bacon Strips (581), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 27, 2009 Pours out a weak but solid hazy yellow gold with a colossal thick white head on each pour just as you would expect. Soft yeast, slight must, a bit of lemon - but it’s the type of lemon you would find in light, flaky baked goods, and odd spice and , well, i put down ’ham’... I think ham was cooking in the oven if I recall... The taste is excellent and comes across as a mild tasting Belgian strong ale. The spice is moderate is seems peppery. The is a great tasting, easy drinking beer. Same lemony taste as in the aroma but a bit sharper. Excellent. Where is the 11%? Nice clean and smooth mouth feel with ample carbonation. I only really noticed the alcohol when my last glass full warmed mistakenly. Finishes dry and spicy. armando629 (833), Budapest, Hungary Jun 25, 2009 0,75 l bottle. Poured pale golden with nice champagne bubbles, fantastic foamy and stable white head. Intense aroma of spicies like coriander and vanilla, some honey. Fine fruits in the nose too: citruses, orange peel, figs.Complex body, smooth mouthfeel with a sourish and vinous taste of champagne, fine flavor of coriander and orange peel. Thick sweetish feeling of a rare beer with malt, honey and caramel, fine and not owerpowered alcoholic notes in the middle of the tongue with fruity characters of grapefruit and citruses. Fine fruity and dry aftertaste with an alcohol what warms me up. Absolutely balanced&memorable one. KI=6 Rune (2403), Tromsø, Norway Jun 24, 2009 Compact dark green 750ml bottle topped by a cork and a wire cradle. Pours a dense, white head slowly reduced to a few patches on the surface. Pale golden body. Aroma of late fruits and sweet spices. Sweet fruity dryness in flavour married with candy sugar, wheat and subdued notes of yeast. Dry bitter endnotes. Almost full bodied. Just the perfect choice for an aperitif to our party on Midsummer Eve at Finns in Tromsø (23.06.2009). daleharshman (75), San Diego, California, USA Jun 12, 2009 Notes from 4 ounce sample from bottle at Pizza Port Belgian Beer Fest in March 2009 where it was labeled "Michael Jackson Commemorative Brut." Pours a murky yet bright yellow. White head composed of very small champagne-like bubbles. Complex aroma of leather and citrus. Equally complex taste that is both sweet and sour with flavors of caramel and fruit (lemon and grapefruit). Nicely balanced. Cirrhosis (550), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 12, 2009 WOW!!! Massive pop when bottle is opened. This is so hard to pour I’m trying as careful as I can but I got 8” of head and a ¼” of beer. This super massive cap a stupidly long lasting power, body is golden and slightly hazy but still relatively clear for the style. Aroma is sour with slight apple and some very noticeable alcohol. Sour wheat and a light sweet taste, noticeable spice with a flowery alcohol finish. Very fruity tasting built on a wheaty malt back bone. This is very light and drinkable but not all that memorable but this might be due to the fact I’m completely wasted after finishing this giant ass bottle. faroeviking (5431), The Autonomous Beer Republic, Faroe Islands May 12, 2009 Botella. Unclear thin golden colour with lots of nice bubble and a beautiful big creamish bubbly long lasting white head. Cellar like bit mouldish, yeasty and fruity sweet aroma. Pleasant mouthfeel. Yeasty, fruity, sweet, bit mouldy pleasantly bitter dry and spiced flavour. Yeasty cellar fruity finish.
