| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Hazy straw yellow color with a fluffy white head. Spicey nose with yeast. Lemon citrus, pepper spice, and a lot of alcohol that blooms in the finish. Not that interesting frankly. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA

Flavor is still pretty hoppy and grassy. some lemon/lime also. Very refreshing. TipsyMcStager (916), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Saison-like aroma: straw, lemon, grassiness. Pours a pale yellow, slightly cloudy, foamy white head. Smooth and dry. Prune flavours up front. Slight bitterness in the finish. presario (2956), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Big bottle. BB4 01/01/2009. Big pop from the cork. Half pillowy white head, half cloudy, mysterious dark yellow. Doesn’t have the diamonds in the head or the clarity of Deus. Strong Saison-like aroma. Sourness, lemons and dandelions? Flavour starts with banana, followed by salt, flowers, sourness. Banana at the end and a peppery spice finish. Like a high ABV Saison with a cleaner finish. bdigital (586), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Bottle: Courtesy of thedm and hotstuff...I think. If I’m wrong on that I’ll fix it. Anyways, pours a cloudy yellow/gold color with a foamy white head. Tart, yeasty funk aroma with some mild citrus and spice. Heavily carbonated, spiced citrus funk flavor. Had some peppery notes on the finish. Decent, though I’m not wowed by it. Boutip (2348), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Feb 21, 2008 Bottle: Poured a hazy deep golden ale with a small bubbly head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma of light sweet malt notes with some weird ester or maybe it’s the yeast but something is surely different. Taste is sweeter and lighter then expected with some sweet malt and light yeasty bready finish. Body was full with some low filtration and some great carbonation. Alcohol is not apparent which is quite surprising considering the 11% contained in this beer. I am glad I tried this but considering the price tag it is unlikely I will try this again. | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Pours a clouded straw with a big white head. Lots of lacing on the way down. Flavor is very champagne like and smooth. But there is also that level of Belgian ale that is oh-so-obvious. Lots of sugar. Good bit of what seems like hops. Feel has a lot of carbonation to it and it feels pretty soft on the mouth. Definitely drinkable, but more so a sipper. I have been keen on finding another good biere de champagne after trying Deus, and this is the first one that has made it worth the money. I kind of feel like this is Duvel on speed. That consistent and steady ride that doesn’t really take you anywhere mind blowing, but it’s still pretty damn good.
